TrueLoveIsViolent 125 Posted May 12, 2016 The download sounds fine if you lower the volume a bit, there's a bit of clipping distortion since it's too loud but other than that it sounds very crisp sounds a little too crisp; like somebody edited it in audacity 0 Quote
AKA Lizzy Grant 2,238 Posted May 12, 2016 love it, but i agree it does sound unfinished

KillForLove 13,361 Posted May 12, 2016 can you please fuck off of this forum you fat piece of shit my thoughts exactly. this is something that hasn't really been explored before (was hoping stef would have done something like this with act 2). i guess allie sees the demand for her outtakes & demos and is giving the fans what they want. queen of innovative releases tbh i'm giving you one last chance to distance yourself from me, my friends, my family, and allie. if you continue to ignore me i will go to extremes to get you away for good i'm giving you one last chance to distance yourself from me, my friends, my family, and allie. if you continue to ignore me i will go to extremes to get you away for good you threatened to get my family and i EVICTED ??? you have hours of recordings of me and you have saved every photo i ever posted on twitter (as well as stalking my facebook account to block it), then you fucking teased lyrics and leaked a song I gave to you, and are teasing outtake photos on twitter. but it's okay because i know more about you than your family does, and i know more about your family than you do. last chance sweetie or you're done for i have your entire family within 5 minutes of contact. do not think you can mess with me and my friends and get away with it. (but in all honesty, just do the stuff you've been threatening to do or shut up and take it somewhere else because none of us really care about your personal beef)

I don't think she'd do it like that I'm sure it'll be a slower roll out with more specifics tomorrow

Europa 11 Posted May 13, 2016 Someone told me the album is being released tonight and there's a private album already uploaded on Spotify. why's everyone saying that? is there a source/confirmation? No, it's not tonight. That Spotify memo was accidentally released early during the test session with Spotify, same reason why OHDH was rush-released: Brazilians found it immediately in its test session and therefore she had to release it on Wednesday instead of its planned release that Friday after premiering it live at the Troye show. The album was originally planned for May 13th, I believe the memo will be reuploaded onto Spotify tomorrow. anyone wanna hit me up with the i+ of Too much to dream ? PM me, I have it

National Anthem 9,903 Posted May 13, 2016 for now OHDH > TMTD, but still not a single dud out of the 10 official Allie X songs we have.
TrueLoveIsViolent 125 Posted May 13, 2016 also did anybody else notice that TMTD has a nearly identical structure to OHDH? the chords are the same mostly, just another key.... queen of recycling 0 Quote

Adrift 4,813 Posted May 13, 2016 Alright, everyone, this is very important. Allie is entrusting her fans with her tracklist, which, though exciting for us, is an A&R NIGHTMARE. I've observed that a fair number of Allie's fans mostly are bop-hungry gays who think Too Much to Dream would be better "if it didn't sound exactly like Melanie Martinez" (which it totally doesn't) and think Prime is better than Catch, which is just hilarious. When we are given the tracks for consideration, we should discuss each possibility at LENGTH, and we have to keep these things in mind when deliberating: 1. This is Allie's sophomore album, technically. Second albums are always make-or-break for an artist's career. It will be partly on us to make sure that Allie doesn't fall into what is called the "sophomore slump". 2. As such, we can't be selfish in our choice of songs. Though CollXtion II doesn't have a clear direction, we have a small sample of what she's going for sonically in OHDH and especially TMTD. She's said CX2 is about being lost and reflecting on yourself, so songs like, say, Love Me Forever probably wouldn't be the best choice. Think "Good" more than "Hello", in terms of sound. 3. This album needs to balance commercial and Xperimental, and cannot be too much or too little of either. Allie is currently most well- known for working with Troye Sivan, and this is her chance to really establish herself as an artist, and a damn good one at that. If there's a song that sounds like one of your favorite artists, but it doesn't sound like an Allie X song, be glad you got the demo and don't suggest it for the tracklist. This album needs to communicate her personality and various talents, vocally, lyrically, instrumentally. Don't be satisfied with the polished and mastered pop songs. If there's a concept demo of something that really may have potential, speak up about it. If there's a sonic outlier that strays from the CX2 mold so far, like a heart-wrenching piano ballad or a song she did with PC Music for example, don't dismiss it on face value. If it's good, suggest it for the tracklist. "Bitch" was a risk to put on CollXtion I, especially following Catch and Prime, but it separated her from the crowd and made people pay attention, I know that's how it was for me at least. Basically, this is a huge opportunity to help our fav get the success she deserves. Let's do it right. I also wrote this while half asleep on a bus at 6 in the morning, so there's a chance I wrote a bunch of nonsense. Apologies if that's the case. The CollXtion II era is here, everyone! 9 Quote X----into me, into you----X

I thought about this myself yesterday. It's kinda important for us as fans to be critical and actually listen to potential, even if it's just a voice memo or a rough demo. I'm so insanely excited to hear what she's giving us on this playlist. I can't wait. She's absolutely amazing for this. We're gonna have so much cool shit.
