Finally got around to listening to this album, and wow! What a breeze to listen to. Start to finish it is near perfect and every song is melodically infectious. I think I prefer the Rush demo, though. That might be my only complaint lol

Soooo I just decided to get back into Cub Sport after kinda forgetting about his music after 333 / Air era. But I just discovered Jesus At The Gay Bar, and honestly? Troye Sivan has some explaining to do….

 

not only is the art direction eerily similar but the production even… it’s kinda crazy how underrated CS has always been but to be ripped off by a fellow kiwi

omg i loved this album last year n i've never noticed this... i assumed gay 2023 summer music just followed this vibe but it is quite similar (we need a collab)

Never heard of them before, but I just checked out that album and although personally I much prefer Troye's voice I quite enjoyed it! I agree that it sounds reminiscent of some of Troye's recent music – and upon checking out the credits, it definitely makes sense: 7/10 songs of the album were produced by Styalz Fuego, who also worked on Rush as a producer and co-writer.

Do we think he'll release anything before the joint Charli tour? If they're going for a clubby vibe really only like maybe half of STGEO fits that and thats all. I feel like he's going to have to drop something before touring a basically year old album at that point?
