Recommended Posts

hey all, I'm new to this forum with an account but have been lurking on it as a guest for a while now. I love DL1! it's got a few fillers but overall its really good and I love all of the 'new' tracks, especially Begging, New Rules, Dreams & Homesick.

Also, I think I've seen people on this thread claiming to have Running HQ studio version (I've got a LQ version but I know theres a HQ version somewhere) and the Want To (Demo)? Could anyone PM me them please? or if someone could PM me any/all of Dua's unreleased songs in their highest possible quality that would be amazing!!

Welcome sis!

of course the tacky hate comes only from pretentious lb bitches, nothing new

Where is the tacky when I've been respectfully waiting for her album to pass judgment? Might you just be mad, with your Dua Lipa avatar?

Bullshit aside, album is full of many bangers. I enjoy new songs New Rules, Begging and IDGAF.

However it's just not an enjoyable listen as an album because it ALL feels so singular and separate due to such overexposure of so many songs on the album being released so soon beforehand.

I realise the 3 tracks I've listed were the newest additions, but I still can't help but feel like it would have been quite ballsy to put out that album in September 2016 with some amazingly crafted songs and then immediately move along with something even more current and commercial, another album including blow your minwd mwah,  new rules, begging, idgaf etc. They had the songs they just didn't have the confidence in her to release it off the back of no huge hits

early songs like New Love, Garden, Bad Together, Running, Hotter Than Hell, Last Dance, Be The One all have a very distinct sound that fit with the "dark pop" thing she had going on (with the outfits and styling etc..) and would have been a great debut to then expand on

1. Genesis

2. Bad Together

3. Running

4. New Love

5. Garden

6. Hotter Than Hell

7. Last Dance

8. Want To

9. Voodoo

10. Owe

11. N/A

12. Be The One

SHIT...

I finally listened all the way through- I wanted to really give this my time. It's a great album. I agree with many others' opinions that it feels so much like just a mix bag of tracks from all over the place, but simply speaking it's a damn excellent album full of excellent songs, there is not a single one I dislike. I really wish her debut would have been what we all imagined it would be, some 11(ish) track masterpiece in late 2015, and then by now we could almost be to album two, but I've got to move on from that idea. It is one of the best albums of the year and one of my favorite debut albums ever that I can easily remember. Go Dua! I'm a fan for life now.
