i hope so ENOUGH with the ballads. it’s worthy to note that mike only did minor productional work on partition tho. justin timberlake, timbaland and j-roc did most of it. imagine partition but as a lana piano ballad tho PLS the serve  "est-ce que tu aimes les blue banisters? je veux dire la couleur blue? les banisters? les hommes pensent que les femmes détestent…"

I’m wondering if she even needs a producer at this point, I’m pretty sure she can do it herself and add some piano and job done, then just shoot all the album covers and music videos using her Iphone 7.

I dreamed the next single was called Dolphins and was a cute slow piano ballad with psychodelic summer vibes (like Doin' Time - Piano Version) and the cover was the same car selfie, but with palmtree, sand castle and crab stickers. (I'm not joking, I actually dreamed about this)

I remember someone mentioning as a joke that Lana was waiting for Chuck to give birth, so she could record her niece's baby sounds to put in an album and after much thought, it wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Omg I can't believe that I actually understand the French part. Being forced to learn it in school has actually paid off.

I trust Lana's vision so if she hired Mike it must be for something special cause WW (even though the last chorus slaps) could have been made by Gabe. So I have 2 theories:

1- Lana wanted to put out the most personal and emotional songs out first so they have their own time to shine instead of getting lost into the album. (So the type of songs we expected from Mike are yet to be released)

or

2- We are not getting more Mike songs in BB cause his work is for the next album. We know Lana started working on BB with Gabe Simon in October (I think) so maybe she was just finishing BB when she started writing with Mike and WW was a late adition to the album. 

 

Either way I'm so excited cause from what we know so far, Zach Dawes, Gabe Simon and Mike Dean are all involved in this album and in my opinion this is a GREAT lineup of producers. I think the 3 singles were just a preview of what's to came

That might be her plan. Maybe if she releases when so many others are she hopes to go a little bit under the radar. Though I doubt it’s actually coming this summer. But she could’ve originally intended for it to come out this summer to get less attention.

I hope this doesnt happen tho. It really effected how much I connected to COTCC; because for me it was always a "fall album", so it's release in late-winter kinda made me feel like it was out of place and I felt that sonically and lyrically. I'm still waiting to listen to COTCC "as it was intended" as the summer fades away. 

 

I don't want that to happen to BB/RCS (feeling like I missed out on hearing the record in the season it was intended) just bc she/her team/her label couldn't get their shit together. 

 

Maybe I'm just overly sensitive to that kind of thing, but I literally change my listening habits dramatically based on season. I havent been able to listen to a single Evermore song with full enjoyment (e.g.) since the weather got warmer.

no cause this is so true that is a complete mid-winter horrific depression episode album cotcc in late august will probably be so perfect and striking i am certain
