Yes to that! It's more of her personal journey of recovery with a glimpse of a relationship rather than an epic love story not taking itself seriously

it's so wack because Halsey said that the album was about removing herself from a toxic relationship and her life beyond it but why compare it to Romeo & Juliet if you think the relationship was bad? HFK doesn't really connect well because R&J more than anything is a criticism of toxic masculinity than appraisal of romance. then again she's going for the Baz Luhrmann aesthetic of his adaptation but I still don't feel it...

songs like Angel on Fire, Devil in Me, Sorry and Hopeless just don't cut the symbolic allusions back to R&J because thematically they have very little in common, but idk anymore this concept is a mess

HFK does not have any concept, just like Badlands. She just thinks having a concept makes her album more interesting, yet she's unable to actually execute it. But since she seemingly doesn't listen to her own music, thinking she's not the most generic pop singer ever, that's no suprise

Just do it. Just do it - don't wait!

melon going in  :toofunny:

I can't stand this guy, he can choke

Imagine 'end' of HFK story with the song "Strangers", where Luna (Halsey) ditches that guy and goes with Lauren.  :defeated:

tbh it's really underwhelming and has nothing to do with the song LOL. oh Halsey...

So basically this video's concept is:

-driving on open road

-Halsey singing in the desert

-oh, a gas station

-group of girls in the corner

-Halsey grabs wireless headphones out of nowhere and eats a snack while reading the newspaper because why not

-more of Halsey singing in the desert

-group of girls trying to decide on a drink

-scary monster/figure on the toilet upsets Halsey

-girls want to fight Halsey

-nevermind, we're cool

-police officers show up and do nothing as girls handcuff them to their cars

-more singing in the desert

-road trip

-more singing

-camp sight on the side of the road

-cute small child and fishes make Halsey smile

-time to drink

giving the (small) benefit of the doubt that this is somehow connecting to a bigger/other video, otherwise i'm lost
