  1. WHAT. WHERE DID YOU HEAR THIS. SHE BETTER NOT FUCK WITH MY "dark night" MOMENT, I SWEAR TO GOD.
  2. My list has definitely changed since the new snippets. 1. Gods & Monsters (This one just seems so powerful and emotional, lyrically and.. sonically. ) 2. American 3. Bel Air (This one sounds great, but only from the first snippet. I think it'll do what Cola will when I get the full; blow me away. Also, does anyone else hear children in the background? ) 4. Body Electric 4. Yayo (I know it'll grow on me, but she fucking butchered the chorus.. ) 4. Cola (I really want to love this one but the chorus is so boring... I feel like the full version will have me though. The pre-chorus is amazing and I love the use of the strings there. ) I'm not including Ride or Burning Desire because they've already been released, and it'll be too hard to place them in this list since I haven't heard all of the others yet. (Blue Velvet who?) I know it's "fucked hard" in Gods & Monsters, but did anyone else hear "looking to get fucktard" the first time? Maybe this song isn't about sex, but it's about Lana being strung out on dope, in a magical land of Gods & Monsters..
  3. It's so nice to finally see another Beach House fan in here! Myth is great, although my favorite from Bloom would have to be Lazuli. I like how this album felt more like an entire song than any of the other albums so far. They all have their own differences of course, but I feel like the songs all tie in so well together and the best way to listen to the album is all at once, no skipping songs or pausing or anything like that.
  4. Someone should just record a woman screaming and put a Lana-beat behind it.
  5. Baby, I'm a cinnamon girl, you should share your trix with me.
  6. :lmao: :lmao: I got that summertime, summertime... ass tits? I will fuck you till the end of time I would grow a million beards Promise you'll remember, cats are fine Baby, can you see through my beard? Fucked you more, than those mormons before Penis in blenders, penis in blenders Oh baby, woo!! I will fuck you till the end of time...
  7. Lana has said many times that she didn't expect to be so famous from all this, that she does it for herself and her fans, and if you actually stop and think about how much she hates touring and performing, it should be pretty obvious that she isn't going to sell out. I really can't believe how little faith some of you have in her. :imbeingsarcasticbitch2:
  8. I'm fine with you not liking it, I couldn't care less tbh because your opinion has nothing to do with mine. You don't have to get upset that you're being disagreed with. I just think it's disrespectful that you'd say she doesn't care because her new music doesn't appeal to your opinion of what is and isn't effort. Ultimately, Lana has to be proud of her work regardless what we think and her releasing it proves that she is happy with it. It seems to me that Paradise is the trashy/skanky side of BTD and I'm fucking fine with that! Lana has shown us many different sides throughout her musical career and this is just another one of them really. Edit: Mattiern messaged me concerning the posts here and I just want to make it clear to everyone that you should not attack/bother/slander a member because they feel a certain way. Also, Mattiern, please don't edit out any of your other posts. It disrupts the flow of conversation here and will confuse other members coming in later. If someone bothers you because of what you said here, block them and let a Mod know. Thanks guys.
  9. She has plenty of already-written material she could have used for this release instead, but she wrote new songs which shows that she does care. I highly doubt she sat down and thought to herself "I don't really want to do this album so I'm not gonna try very hard with writing these songs." The fact that she has gotten plastic surgery, admits to hating performing and being very nervous about it, and plenty of other things she's done proves that she cares what other people think of her and that's she's very self-critical, so I really don't think she'd let these specific songs be released if she didn't care or try very hard. I think you have a horrible attitude in this case, you're coming off to me like this: "Oh, Lana didn't impress me with this album, so that means she obviously doesn't care about the artistic value of her work anymore, because she absolutely does everything in her career with me in mind." I don't mean to be rude but that's how you're coming across and it really upset me. I know a handful of hopeful-musicians and I know how much they put into their writing and their music, so I just find it extremely disrespectful that you'd go as far as saying she doesn't care anymore just because you don't like what you've heard of the new album.
  10. I haven't listened to much of the new snippets-only American-and I'm completely fine with people's differing opinions and all, but reading this last bit really upset me. I think it's very disrespectful to Lana that you'd say she doesn't care about her music or the artistic value in it just because it didn't appeal to you. Maybe she is changing as a person, so she wrote in a different style or just wanted to experiment with sounds more on this rerelease? I don't know really, but it just makes me very sad to see you say she doesn't care because you don't like it. Personally, I think if she didn't care then she wouldn't have bothered making this EP, or having the Ride video be 10 minutes long. Idk, that actually really upset me so I'm just going to stop now.
  11. We don't have a thread like that, and of course you can post it! Anything is fine, as long as it's not spam. Sounds like a good thread idea. Post away!
  12. You, my friend, are fucking awesome.
  13. I know you haven't been in their shoes because I know someone who has, and while this isn't a personal matter to me, it is to them. It just frustrates me, after hearing from them why and how it's so offensive, seeing other people be so ignorant and rude and insensitive about the whole thing. It isn't about the fact that Lana wore the headdress, which AGAIN, seems to be what you're stuck on. It was the context. I'm not going into it because it's not my place to say, since I'm not personally offended by the situation, but it's not something to "get the fuck over" for people who personally understand why it's offensive. I'm done.
  14. have a seizure and die on top of him
  15. Argument can mean the same thing as discussion based on the context of the sentence. You're looking way too much into my words trying to make a point that isn't there to make. I may not know anything about you, but LOL you basically proved my point that you haven't been in their shoes when you questioned Hello Heaven asking how the headdress was portrayed negatively, so keep digging your own grave. There was no point in telling me I know nothing about you to prove me wrong in saying you haven't been in their shoes, when you turn around and ask someone else how the headdress is portrayed negatively, because that PROVES you don't know anything about the opposing side of the argument, or in lighter terms-so you don't get overly technical and make a paragraph about how you "weren't arguing with anyone"-discussion.
  16. Your argument isn't your opinion. Your argument was that people should get over it because you don't think it's offensive, which it is, and it is a FACT that it's offensive because it has offended a lot of people and they have valid reasons to be offended, which many people have explained but you've dismissed because you simply don't agree and haven't been in their shoes. You misunderstood me there, I'm not saying your opinion wasn't valid. Once again, "get the fuck over it" isn't an opinion on how someone should react to something, it's a command. You weren't giving your opinion by commanding people. You were telling them what to do. Just because you don't see the controversy in something doesn't mean it's not there, like I already said. You're choosing to ignore the controversial reality because in your opinion, you disagree with it, which is why I called you ignorant. That word means more than just "stupid," and I wasn't calling you stupid for your opinion, though your opinion still makes you ignorant in this situation. Ignorance can be as simple as not knowing, which is definitely your case because if you knew why people were offended by this, you wouldn't have been so rude in how you told people to move on from the issue. For the last two parts, fair enough.
  17. So I ripped my unopenable eyes open and it turns out he had scary fucked up eyes too So we got married and had freaky eyeless children The end yay
  18. OMG ANOTHER LUCKY ONES FAN. QUICK, GET IN THE SAFEHOUSE. THEY CAN'T KNOW YOU EXIST. It would be between Lucky Ones and Hundred Dollar Bill (1.0)... although to make me choose between them would be to make me kill myself and come back to life to make the hardest decision of my after-lived life... WORDS.
  19. I really don't feel like going through all the faults in your posts since Monicker did a fine job of it, but I just want to point out one thing in your quoted post above that would basically nullify your ridiculous argument anyway. I'm sorry, but "get the fuck over it" is NOT an opinion, it is a COMMAND. Do you not know the difference between the two? Doesn't seem like it. Monicker is right in what he said (no surprise there) and the main problem here is not that you have a different opinion, it's that you are telling other people how to feel/handle the situation. Who are you to tell someone whether they should be offended by something or not? Ah, yes, nobody. You must be pretty ignorant of the situation if you dismiss it as nothing, because the context in which Lana wore the headdress (NOT the fact that she wore it, which is what you seem to be stuck on and isn't the issue at all) is the problem and was actually really offensive. If you're going to be so damn bombastic about your opinion, then at least educate yourself on what you're actually talking about. So you think you came off "a bit sharp"? Telling someone to get the fuck over a really offensive thing is just "a bit sharp"? When you come in here being rude and disrespectful, don't expect complete politeness and courtesy in return. If you don't want someone to be rude to you then don't be rude to them, common sense.
  20. Okay, I need to organize this by album/demos/unreleased because there are so many songs and so many amazing moments for me. This is an awesome thread, Sitar, thank you. There are some more moments, but holy shit I've typed a lot and school is almost over so I'll be at rehearsal for a few hours because I'm fabulous and in a play so I'll be back to read all of your interesting responses later, bye. xoxo
