i don’t know where it was confirmed to not mean anything but it is actually very sus that Lana’s name autofills simply with the word “Grandfather” but she doesn’t show up at all when you search the hyper-specific “Taco Truck x VB”, like why are there only a few songs in the system like that… idk if you’re kidding or not but even if you are you might genuinely be onto something

the only titles that lana’s name shows up as the first result for when you search the songs on Spotify are A&W, The Grants, and Grandfather (which Lana shows up for even when you just type “Grandfather” and nothing else), the triple single is incoming

i mean it is the smoothest since HM 😭 the only thing that’s technically gone wrong is the 2 week delay. LFL had the Architecture leak that fucked everything up as well as the 2 month delay, i don’t even have to explain NFR, Chemtrails had the 6 month delay and post QFTC + mask + Annie Mac trauma, Blue Banisters had the 3 month delay… things are going so well this time around

girl this is the best and smoothest pre-release in EIGHT years what 😭 even though nothing is really happening i will gladly take what has happened over unaddressed multiple-month delays, a year of loose singles with no album news, prolonged (and sometimes deserved) personal controversy, etc etc it’s barely been 2 months since the single came out and the album is already only a handful of weeks away. this is the first time since Honeymoon that we even have an official album announcement (with preorders and everything) 2 months after the lead, not even to mention the album being out so soon

same like the wait has been painful but i am so so happy she officially announced a date with the preorder and everything right when she released the first single (even if it was delayed ) because i literally don’t trust at her. instead of being excited for the last 2 months i would’ve been anxious and scared that it was gonna turn into another NFR. imo if nothing was gonna happen after the single release it’s kind of better for nothing to happen with the album already up for preorder, although i still wish they would’ve just waited until January or February to release the single and announce everything in the first place

I have the same issue with Harry as I had with Taylor pre-folklore, except even more; Harry has the potential to make a really really amazing album, many of his deep cuts are fucking great like Meet Me in the Hallway, Ever Since New York, Fine Line, Matilda, Little Freak, and more, but his singles are so commercial and so pandering and so soulless that they suck the life out of what would’ve been an amazing album. Taylor did exactly what she needed to do for a long time on folklore, she stopped crafting singles and made her best and most respected body of work. hopefully Harry will do that as well eventually because he’s definitely able to

i’m really happy sam is making the kind of music they love, but pop like Unholy does just not suit their voice in my opinion, at all… too legato, too shouty, just not clean enough, idk it sounds off and like they’re covering someone else’s song 😭 while i’m not very fond of Kim, she does absolutely steal the show on Unholy and does a great job on it, and i’m happy for her being the first trans woman to win that award
