Hmm... I don't know. It's a cute cover, but nothing more. Gwen's version of Last Christmas is still by far my favourite, followed by Carly's. This song is supposed to make you feel emotional, and Allie doesn't really do that. It doesn't sound very festive production-wise either. But yeah, I guess it's still a nice little Christmas surprise from her.

I think it's mostly the production and the heartbrokenness you can hear in her voice, as well as the "I bring out the worst in you" and "my hands are tied" lines that kinda make me feel like the song comes from the same place as Hatefuck.

This feels like a continuation of Hatefuck in so many ways, which is the best thing that could've happened, since Hatefuck is her best song ever. I fucking love this woman so much.
