  12. Artists releasing a new version of an old song is not exactly unheard of. It's just that usually they release the original version first and then at one point the reworked version, which wouldn't be the case here since the AKA version of Yayo is not officially available (anymore).
  13. This fucking slaps, don't @ me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEL3__eZIuA
  14. I mean, people who diss Venice Bitch can't be taken seriously anyway.
  15. I know this was probably not directed @ me, but I feel kinda attacked anyway. Venice Bitch is indeed a career highlight. I love pop Lana and I hate trap Lana. Don't mix those two groups of fans up LMAO.

Anyone going to her show at Heaven this Friday?
  17. I'm definitely not a vinyl enthusiast in the sense of being an audiophile, but I loooove collecting them. There's just something about physically owning a body of work, complete with the 12"x12" cover, ideally a huge booklet to admire, and of course the record itself. I don't know, for me music is such an important aspect of my life, I want to own the actual thing and I also think that listening to a vinyl record is much more of an conscious activity than just scrolling through releases on Spotify. Regarding the sound – yes, listening to a vinyl record is different than listening to an MP3, but I don't think this always means it's better. Some albums are so poorly mastered that I legit never listen to them, which is a shame, of course. However, sometimes the opposite is the case and something sounds so good on vinyl that it's an actual revelation. For me, this happened earlier this year when I finally got the 2016 reissue of Kylie Minogue's 1994 album. Now you have to know that the first track on this album – Confide In Me – was already my absolute number one Kylie song before this and I knew how amazing the production is. But when I put on that record for the first time and the one-minute intro was playing, I swear, my wig was snatched! I could hear things that I had never heard before and the song suddenly became a lot deeper and, I don't know, lush. And like I said, that's one of my favourite songs, so I thought I had heard everything there was to hear. So it's really fascinating how a different format can enhance a song in such a way, which is obviously something that, unlike vinyl, you will never have with digital music. Also, shoutout to coloured vinyl and picture discs AKA the prettiest things in the world. And since I'm already at it, here's my collection so far (I wish I could take a picture, but I won't be home until Christmas). 18. Okay, I love the individual songs, these are some of her best (shoutout to Science once again), but I don't really like Super Sunset as an EP. It's not as cohesive as I thought it would be, and I wish the songs and interludes would actually transition into the respective next track. Like, what's the point of the abrupt ending of NSBILA, for example? And it's not like the intro and the interlude do much either. There was also no reason to not make this a full album (or at least ten tracks, since that seems to be the most she's willing to do) and release it on a 12" and call it CollXtion III. The way it is, it'll always look "wrong" next to CLX I and CLX II – to me, anyway. And as I've already mentioned, I'm not a big fan of releasing five out of six songs as singles beforehand. Oh well. At least the music itself is great.
  19. You think all her songs sound the same? I would say that each of her projects has a distinctive sound. CLX I sounds different from CLX II, and Super Sunset doesn't sound like either those two. What bugs me about the way she releases her music is not that it's happening too fast, but that she basically released the whole EP over the last couple months so that there's literally just one song left. It's just my preference, but that is not how I want to experience a new album. On the other hand, I understand that for a small artist like her it is important to stay "relevant" by putting out new music regularly.
