  1. I will not accept any disrespect towards the Queen of Pop. I would say that both Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! and Hung Up are absolute classics and milestones in pop music. I think it's impressive how she managed to sample this (then) 25-year-old song and merge it with something recent, and by doing so suddenly made it relevant again. Plus Madonna is pretty much the only singer that ABBA has ever permitted to sample one of their songs, so clearly they must think quite highly of her too.
  2. Okay but I'm soooo tired!
  3. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, the best song in the history of music? Yes, probably.
  4. I've always preferred the athletic theme from SMB3. And YES, the Time's End remakes by Theophany are amazing! I've always enjoyed listening to them, they are amazing at (re)creating that very particular atmosphere.
  5. It was already wrong the first time you posted it, no need to do it twice.
  6. Meh. I'll give you Lust For Life, I guess that one is kinda cute after all. But Freak is just a mess and a half, and it's ugly by default because Fatty John Misty is in it. And about White Mustang, once again:
  7. Imagine hating on Ultraviolence MV when Freak, Lust For Life, White Mustang, Mariners Apartment Complex, and Venice Bitch are RIGHT THERE.
  8. Let's be real, if it had been the video for Best American Record like it was supposed to, it probably would've been one of the best videos of her career. It's just that by scrapping that and using the footage for White Mustang, they (she?) completely ruined it. Still bitter about it, TBH.
  9. Why not? If they want airplay (LOL, like that's gonna happen), they can always release a "clean" radio edit for the English-speaking countries.
  10. Well it's not really your fault, it just shows how underrepresented female writers/producers are in the music industry. I can't really think of many aside from Linda Perry and Alex Hope. Oh yeah, I guess Julia Michaels would be a pretty "new" and successful one.

The BS right here... If anything, No Shame was a return to form after the disappointing Sheezus. It's Not Me, It's You > Alright, Still and No Shame >>> Sheezus
  12. She's only 25, and worked on some pretty amazing stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Hope_(songwriter)#Full_discography

    BANKS

It's been forever since The Altar and even since Underdog, I really need her back.
  16. Oh wig, Alex Hope did some amazing writing and production work on Blue Neighbourhood. Colour me excited!
  17. Okay, issa bop, but I still kinda miss the Bop City (especially 2) sound. The songs from the album all sounds noticeable more "pop" than the material from the three EPs, in my opinion.
  18. But didn't Adele have severe issues with her vocal cords and therefore pretty much had to stop performing for good (at least for now)? I would argue that her case is a bit different.
  19. LOL, do you still think he can be killed? He's immortal. The only way his poor soul can find peace is by hearing Yosemite.
  20. Off To The Races and Venice Bitch really out-iconic'd the rest of Ms. Grant's discography, huh?
