I wonder if Trans-Am is related to the movie Trans Europ Express, it’s very Lanaalso I know my man Ennio Morricone did the score for the 1997 Lolita film which is obviously very Lana, but he also did really famous spaghetti westerns, and there are parts of Honeymoon that remind me of the western soundtracks (especially the lyrics “there are guns that blaze around you / it’s no wonder every man in town had neither fought nor found you” bit and the military drums with the horn is VERY Ennio), so I wonder which sound she went for?? Piano Theme gives me Morricone vibes as well but more on the Lolita side so idk. I always thought Honeymoon/Salvatore was inspired by the Italian actor Gian Maria Volonté in For A Few Dollars More but that’s only bc I didn’t know about Fr*ncesco at the time :/

I hope the Cherry vid sticks with the whole Twilight Zone thing she had going on in the album trailer, I was really hoping the whole album would match it but I guess the BAR mv was kind of in the same vein but it lacked the destintcive era retroness (sorry bad wording I’m really tired!!) I thought it was stylized nicely but a little too futuristic, maybe if someone put a b&w filter over it’d be cute . but anyways back to Cherry mv I still have hope that it’s coming and I want witchy 50s sci fi political queen back. someone come snatch her outta that H and put her on vevo edit: now that I think about it, the music videos we’ve gotten so far actually do match the trailer, they just don’t look exactly the same like I was imagining in my head lol.
