Yeah, social media is all about self-staging. It's just madness.
-
YES! Exactly my thoughts. I stopped looking at Twitter and IG some time ago and only use FB for private things (not news or stalking celebreties .

It's days like these that make me think the invention of social media wasn't that good of an idea... It produced this kind of "culture" where showing off or blaming other people in the internet has become important for one's image.
-
Haven't watched it and it's probably not worth it anyway...

Okay, I misread that, so what happened is even less terrifying. Btw I don't know if this has already been posted her but it's a nice summarization (of the first IG post & the reactions):

Maybe I'm getting to old for all of this but I really can't see why it's such a big deal? Lana's obviously fuming and posted some strange text again, and she unfollowed some fans and Ariane G., and AG unfollowed her... oh wow... and now...? What's going to happen? Is doomsday dawning upon on us? Will the apocalypse kill us all? (Well, of course it will, but probably not now, not because of Lana I don't know – Lana's always been weird and some kind of "problematic" person, and that's why she's doing and saying unpredictable (and often debatable) things. But that's also why she's making awesome art for 15 years now, I guess. This IG/Twitter uproar will fizzle out and life will go on (at least mine will. I hope EDIT: So AG didn't unfollow her. Sorry, my mistake.

I'm just ignoring all that crap - it's better for the mental health to not dive into those kind of "discussions" on IG/Twitter.
-
I've lost count of the number of times Lana had been "cancelled" according to some jerks on Twitter or IG because Lana wrote something supposedly weirdly worded, so I'm not worried about the effect of her latest post.

This is very soothing:

Haven't seen this Poppy/Grimes video before: https://twitter.com/Poppy4President/status/1258097125575057408

Maybe the japanese KawaiiMetal band BABYMETAL. It's pretty obvious where Poppy got some of her inspiration from, especially for songs like "Concrete" and "X". BM's mix of J-Pop and Metal is really infectious and their live performances are mindblowing (usually the live versions of their songs are even better than the studio ones - and those girls put on an incredible show).

It says "Video unavailable" when I click on the play button. -
Lana cancels EU/UK Leg of the Norman Fucking Rockwell Tour

That's one of the reasons why I hate Eventim. I bought my tickets at Ticketmaster.de and they refunded me automatically within a few hours; no need to send back the tickets. (Although they deducted the handling fee but at least I got 93 % of my money back.) -

Oh no. -
I'm watching the last episode of season 2 atm and really like the show - it's very entertaining (although the 2nd season seems a bit "over the top" sometimes – too much going on for my liking).

It's not completely bad but somehow forgettable... I REALLY hope Marina will find her spark again in the future!

The first time I listened to Lana was in May 2010 - a music blog recommended the demo version of Diet Mtn Dew and I checked it out on YouTube and really liked it though I wasn't instantly hooked; her voice kind of "irritated" me at that time (in a good way). But Lana startet to really make an impact on my music listening habits in 2011 with "Kinda outta luck" (and several other songs that were around at that time). Then "Video Games" was released and I followed her ever since.

62nd Annual Grammy Awards - General Discussion Thread
CatchTheBreeze replied to Elle's topic in Music
I didn't really care about the earlier Grammys that Lana didn't win but was nominated for – but this time I'm feeling a bit bitter because NFR def should've won since it got universal acclaim (which, in the end, is more valuable than a f***ing Grammy anyway). I don't hold a grudge against Billie (although I don't like her music that much) but piling up the Grammys for her first album is ridiculous. The album isn't THAT good (not in my book). But it was very successul and that's what counts at the Grammys. It's an music industry price so what could you expect... -

Just woke up to this. No surprise, but still a huge disappointment. -
This guy sums up my feelings towards the album quite nicely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb-zRH1U0po I'm not really feeling the new album, unfortunately, although I really enjoyed the "Choke" EP.
