  1. I didn't really care about the earlier Grammys that Lana didn't win but was nominated for – but this time I'm feeling a bit bitter because NFR def should've won since it got universal acclaim (which, in the end, is more valuable than a f***ing Grammy anyway). I don't hold a grudge against Billie (although I don't like her music that much) but piling up the Grammys for her first album is ridiculous. The album isn't THAT good (not in my book). But it was very successul and that's what counts at the Grammys. It's an music industry price so what could you expect...
  2. Just woke up to this. No surprise, but still a huge disappointment.

This guy sums up my feelings towards the album quite nicely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb-zRH1U0po I'm not really feeling the new album, unfortunately, although I really enjoyed the "Choke" EP.
  4. Why on earth would anyone buy a cassette?? I mean it was nice and useful in the 1980s but nowadays...? Weird world. But I'm happy to see NFR on #3 in that list.
  5. Last song: The Go-Go's "He's so strange" First song: Lana "Raise me up" (I had to start the new decade with Lana otherwise it would've been doomed from the beginning

    Wow, that's something! https://twitter.com/poppy/status/1211006950160269313
  7. And this one, with Marina's cat:
  8. I had to chuckle at the last sentence - "And they will scoff in disbelief that Lana Del Rey was once treated as anything but the poet laureate of a world on fire." Pitchfork themself gave BTD a 5.5 or something like that and questioned her "authenticity" at that time. And now they act as if they've always been on Lana's side. Funny. But it's nice that they've finally seen the light.
  9. So, here is the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKs0HAvioKI
  10. So obviously there's a "dressing room performance" of Lana and Haley Bonar, singing "Eat for free"! https://www.facebook.com/MySoCalledHaley/photos/a.10152364269194360/10157590363079360/?type=3&theater
  11. So, Haley Bonar will support Lana at this gig (and in Madison) and is going to play a duet with her. Cool! I've been a fan of Haley's music for several years now.
  12. There are two new reviews added to the Metacritic score - this very good 90 from Ripchord: http://www.noripcord.com/reviews/music/lana-del-rey/norman-fucking-rockwell And a 75 from Chicago Tribune (can't read it since it's blocked for users in Europe): https://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/music/greg-kot/ct-ent-album-roundup-20191009-2bdrcsfp4zae7gxkb4x3hllme4-story.html
  13. Wow. I'm seriously jealous of everyone who had the chance to see her yesterday! The setlist is cool a.f. as well.
  14. YES! Exactly! I just HATE screaming people at concerts, especially at gigs whith quieter and slower music like Lana's.
  15. I'm going to see Lana in Berlin as well – and I really hope that she will change parts of the setlist until then (I can't stand all those BTD songs any more so these have to go!). She has more than 5 months to spice it up so I'm still kinda optimistic about it.
  16. But it hasn't always been like that - I saw her 2013 and 2016 and the concerts were great, her singing was great. Last year's performance in Berlin was kind of a letdown in comparison to those so I wonder what happened inbetween?
  17. Considering that NFR has almost no Pop hit on it this is pretty impressive.
  18. Okay, the song really isn't my cup of tea but Lana's part is of course great.
  19. Don't know if anyboy already posted this but Crack magazine gave NFR a 9/10: https://crackmagazine.net/article/album-reviews/lana-del-rey-norman-fucking-rockwell/
  20. It's a shame that the BBC sound engineer wasn't able to do this.
  21. In the video description it says "BBC Radio live" so I guess it's from her performance there.
