Cool band – "Sur la planche" is my favorite (even played it sometimes in clubs, back in the days when I was still DJing :) .

That was surely the weirdest Lana interview I've ever witnessed. "Weird" not in a good way though... -

I need this! But they only ship to the UK... -
I use Spotify only for first spins of new releases so my real music year statics happen over at last.fm. According to that I've listened to 15325 songs (up until now), 3287 different artists in 2020. For the first time since 2011 Lana isn't my no. 1 artist regarding the total number of plays because I discovered a new band: 1. BABYMETAL (865 plays) 2. Lana (514) 3. Poppy (90) 4. Videoclub (77) 5. Jim Bob (57) The songs I listened to most were accordingly pretty (very) (extremely) one-sided: 1. BABYMETAL – Gimme chocolate!! (82 plays) 2. BM – Headbanger (live) (72) 3. BM – Ijime, Dame, Zettai (live) (55) 4. BM – Catch Me If You Can (live) (52) 5. BM – Karate (48)

The only cool thing about the nominations is Poppy. :-) For the rest, I don't care and I don't expect anything from the Grammy's anymore after the last disaster.

Let Me Love You Like a Woman (Single) - OUT NOW: October 16th, 2020

I like the song, it's quite beautiful, but I'm not overwhelmed. Maybe it's a grower and works better in the context of the album. -
My ticket for her (cancelled) Berlin show this march was around 80 € (normal ticket, no special treatment, no seat). It's pricey but so are a lot of the bigger artists, especially when they're playing in arenas.

Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass Reviews and Metacritic Thread
CatchTheBreeze replied to ilovetati's topic in Latest News
The Guardian has a campaign against Lana going on for like forever, so that's no surprise. But I'm still shocked NFR was their AOTY after their review was more on the meh! side. -
"August" is my favourite as well, and "This is me trying". Other than that I'm not too hyped about the music – for me the songs are okay, nice, surely the first Taylor album I could listen to in its entirety, but something is missing, some "inner tension" which would make it more interesting. But it's the kind of album which will tick a lot of boxes for a lot of music critics, so AOTY is pretty safe.

I've just listened to "Cardigan" and the song sounds like if Taylor tries to emulate NFR! She obviously likes Lana, we all know that, and it shows in this song imho. Can't say anything about the album yet (but I'm no TS fan so I probably won't be too euphoric...).

Most entertaining live band probably ever:
