Reading your posts it seems like you're stuck in this "Lana Del Rey is so underground, you probably don't know her" mentality that hipsters had back in 2012. Yes you read it well, 2012. So can it rat, it's outdated. Lana has relevancy, she's no celebrity and has no interest in being so but she has had enough impact to create her own niche in popular culture. Billboard, the company that compiles charts (which are always used to measure popularity and relevancy) fucking honored her as a Trailbrazer. Back to 2012, yeah if you talked about Lana in real life most people wouldn't know about her. Nowadays she's over that Melanie Martinez type-of "fame" because Born to Die happened. Summertime Sadness happened. Gatsby happened. Disney's Maleficent happened. And scandals like "I wish I was dead already" happened too. I assure you Lana is damn well known enough to be part of an Amy Winehouse cover album. May I remind you over +4M people own Born to Die and Honeymoon has better reviews than albums of popular acts like Rihanna or Ariana Grande. So let me reiterate it, Lana is enough of a star to be a part of this rumored project. I have shouted Lana's name several times in public and most people at least know about her so eat it up and crown it!
