Same here, sadly :-( Even HM aged really well, but this is an album I tend to avoid listening to...the title track is just no good, lots of the songs sound unfinished and/or have weak lyrics compared to past stuff, and some of the demos we've heard actually sound better than the finished product e.g. TNC demo. Also it's much less cohesive than past albums. It's good but I feel like there's more lows than highs on the record, and I'm worried LDR6 is gonna be a continuation of this kind of quality

Controversial opinion but regarding cultural appropriation, I'm not going to jump down someone's throat who is wearing clothing or styling their hair in a way that is not representative of their own culture----- so long as that person is not, for example, wearing clothing from a culture & also expressing prejudice against that culture- or any culture. anyway we're kinda drifting off topicccc

Can't believe y'all aren't losing your mind over dirty computer + the short film over here like damn? The short film does have some off-key parts but on a whole its really, reaaaaaally amazing. My fave tracks off the album rn are Screwed, Django Jane, I Like That & Don't Judge Me. The strings in don't judge me, woooow & the scene of the short film where that plays is so strong too. It's a really good album, and its so special. This is how u do a political album Lanz, take notes

I think it's likely that Lana has done a collab with Marina or plans to, and it's likely that we'll be getting music in the next few months based ALONE off of Lana talking about new tracks. I feel like it's more an educated guess than anything. Receipts or it's just speculation Here for it tho

She needs to work with someone who can craft a sound as good as Dan Auerbach did on UV. Thats the only thing I want from her next output- a legendary soundscape like UV has.

Honestly I gave it a loooot more listens and I still stand by most of what I said. Some of the lyrics are really mediocre and some songs sound like demos or just kinda rushed. That being said I actually like a lot of the songs from it, I just don't think it lives up to Por Vida's quality. Miami, Just a Stranger, Your Teeth in my Neck, In My Dreams, Gotta Get Up, Tomorrow and Coming Home are pretty good. It just all sounds unfinished to me tho???

It has some good moments? Honestly not a fav. Across the album there's just lots of melodies and lyrics that fall flat, and like super simplistic rhymes

It isn't bad but it isn't as good as Por Vida. I like that she's branching out and exploring new sounds but honestly most of the songs sound like demos??? I'll give it another listen later but right now the only standout is Your Teeth In My Neck. In My Dreams is good too. Really a lot of it is kind of unexpected production and half-done melodies that are pretty repetitive. I get lots of vintage TV jingle vibes and Tame Impala (go figure, I checked and he actually did some production on the album). I hope it grows on me! After The Storm & Tyrant still go hard tho, tbh could've been an EP tho

Tbh UV had the best visuals and we didn't even get half of them. The album trailer alone left me scalped so idk if I would've survived another UV era video tbh.

The way she sang it was just so superb, I've been playing that recording over and over and over me and my friends had suuuuuuch an incredible time. legit will never get over it

Tbh I don't give honeymoon much credit but I listen to it so often in my car lately. Because it's very subdued in a lot of ways I feel like I overlook how good it is. It's not my favourite record, but my god, I'm so grateful she did that. I want her to do another "vanity project", her music is best when she's making it for HERSELF. I think that's where LFL falls flat for a lot of people, because we're so used to these really well constructed little worlds we can melt into, and suddenly she's singing with us very clearly in mind, which honestly just fucks up her vibes.

honestly people be dragging her look but honestly y'all didn't get to witness the iconic long ponytail in person- you don't even KNOW what you're talking about- she looked absolutely stunning, just radiating good energy. Also the crowd was surprisingly good! I was expecting lots of pushing and shoving to see Lana, but most people in the crowd were super respectful. Feel sorry for the guys who waited 2 days camped out for her though since she only took selfies with like 3 people in the crowd & didn't come down during OTTR lol. Sooo many people fainted/vomited. Truly a wild night! edit: while in line a bunch of people started screaming, and everyone thought Lana must've shown up, and got their phones out to film-- and it turned out people were screaming cause like half a dozen people started throwing up lmfao. I guess thats what happens when security make you clump up together in line in 35 degree heat lol! water was $5 a bottle too. hope everyone still had a blasttt
