I like it. I'd like to hear her do a version for an album thought that keeps the rawness and energy.

I do have to admit that I've been wanting to drink pepsi now since we know what it tastes like. LOL.

Since Lana used to sing in a choir at Mass we can assume she sang Christmas songs at a Christmas Mass. I've got no problem with a Christmas album if it's genuine in that the artist believes in Christmas (celebrating the Birth of Christ) and Christianity. If Lana did a Christmas album I'd hope to hear Santa Baby, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (made famous by Judy Garland in Meet Me in St. Louis) and some pop Christmas tunes, but since she sang at Church I'd hope we'd get some staples like The First Noel Joy to the World Adeste Fideles Silent Night Hark Herald the Angels Sing

When I first heard Diet Mt. Dew I realized that I hadn't had it for awhile maybe a year. I think I tried it once again in a can a pro-wrestling show. I was never a big mountain dew drinker. It's the worst pop for your teeth. There's something called Mt. Dew Mouth in Appalachia since people drink it as babies in bottles and sippy cups and continue to drink it. I always thought it was a little too sweet for my tastes. When I first tried Diet Mt. Dew I sort of liked it as a less sugary alternative to Mt. Dew, but since I was never a big Mt. Dew drinker anyways I never became a big Diet Mt. Dew drinker before or after Lana though I did try it again and when I hear the song I remember the diet mt. dew taste. LOL.

A lot of artists sing about being out of their mind and what not or being depressed and going crazy. in fact writing poetry or lyrics or stories about being crazy or depressed or being torn or about relationships is very common especially for younger artists.

I have to admit that I don't buy pop to drink at home and when I go out I usually get a diet coke or regular coke. If pepsi is an option for fountain pop I usually get Dr. Pepper at Taco Bell or Burger King. There was a local pro-wrestling show where they had Diet Mt. Dew and I would drink it. A few years ago I was more of a regular diet Mt. Dew drinker. I would buy it at machines or work or at the convenience store at work if I was out and wanted a pop. i would never order it as a drink. So I don't drink more Mt, Dew or Pepsi since Lana has sung about them.

Stephen Malkmus of pavement or with the pavement band. Lady Gaga seriously I think they could do something cool together Nancy Sinatra.

I like Ke$sha she writes good pop-rock songs. Nothing wrong with that. I also think she's cute and sexy.

Yeah, maybe you're putting too much thought into it, but it's a visually stunning video. Maybe she just thought it would be cool to be in a motorcycle gang and ride the open road and thought that maybe a prostitute would best fit in with the motorcycle gang. Or maybe she's the gang's woman or earth mama who softens their rough edges. LOL.

I know the British press is obsessed with the idea that she plays a prostitute in the video, but in the credits to ride, the men are listed as lovers and not customers or hobbyists or johns. Yeah she is walking along the street in short shorts and a dude in a car pulls up and she gets in and they go off to play pinball and kiss and so on, and she is at the truck stop wearing short shorts like perhaps a prostitute would at a truck stop and the bikers pick her up. I don't buy the "she's a prostitute" angle 100 percent. But I have no problem with it. I think in the video intro she's a singer on a world tour. Why would a singer on a world tour turn to prostitution? Or as she says a series of unfortunate events has led her to be a prostitute. Either way the three lovers are pretty good to her and yes she's with one in a hotel which suggests prostitution, but I tend to think of them as more as lovers and Lana has a heart of gold. LOL. But she does seem distracted or not quite into it when she's with her lovers like she's going through the motions as a prostitute would. She seems distant when the lovers are kissing, caressing, or being tender with her. Maybe the video should have had a happily ever after ending like Pretty Woman. Where the prostitute finds love with a customer. LOL. If I was directing the video I would play a lover she runs away with ala Pretty Woman. LOL.

I hope she does a tour of the US and Canada for about 20-some cities. There are a lot of smaller venues where her music and show would go over really well. I mean Europe is an important market, and a lot of critics were unkind to her because of the SNL thing, but America is the land of second and third chances. It's sort of bizarre that someone as American as her gets more love in Europe than the US. She has so many dedicated fans in the US and I can't imagine her record company not wanting to sell more records in the US. But in the end it's up to her and her personal happiness and what she wants with her career. I wish her well and success and happiness.

I don't like the fact that she sold both in raw numbers and in proportion to population more records in the UK versus the US. I wish she was more popular in the US than in the UK. Sometimes my own countrymen amaze me with their ignorance.

I like Ride the best. I can relate to the lyrics to this song more than the others plus I love the video.

I have no problem with analyzing lyrics to discern clues about her and what motivates her as an artist. People who write lyrics write them so we listen to them and yes analyze them. Artists want to be read and want their lyrics thought about. I agree with that. But as far as personal relationships go we're not a in a position to discuss whether or not someone is good or bad for her unless we are 1. family and friends and 2. unless there's clear public evidence that a relationship is harming her

It's not our place to say. Enjoy her music and artistry and buy her stuff.

I hope she does some touring of the US and Canada. And another gig on Saturday Night Live to tell the haters off. But, I think she's got a huge untapped fanbase and market in the US. A tour of clubs or smaller venues across the country would be awesome and get her exposed to more fans and (ugh) critics, radio stations, and the like. She's an awesome artist who deserves to be more fully appreciated in the US.

Is this the shirt she wore in the video? The actual one? Like in sports there's a premium for game-worn jerseys.

One thing I like about the ride video is that it lists her co-stars. I've looked up her "lovers" on imdb and the only one with an acting career is Scott the Wall. Kevin Peterson doesn't show up and Ian Seeberg is a Las Vegas show producer? I found nothing on Josh Korplus who I assume the main biker. Her biker-boyfriend. What about the younger blonde? There's also an older blonde, but we don't see her much. Who is the younger blonde? At one time I thought maybe she was one of the stars of video games? Is that true? Good video, Too bad I wasn't around in Vegas to be in it LOL. I actually love that video.
