    Jessie J

Have to bump this thread, because for some reason i can't get Do It Like A Dude out of my head lol And i'll do a dive into her singles again, kinda miss the early 2010s ahhh Wiki says she scrapped whatever album she was recording and started over
  2. Girl go make your sped up versions and TikTok remixes and line 'em on your VLC player or whatever you use
  3. Yeah, i think narratively it ties to A&W. He's preaching about people who fall into their temptations and do not appreciate what they have. So maybe it begs the question why should she be labeled the American Whore, when she's not the one commiting adultery. Maybe there's an element of self punishment too, rememeber when she burned that "be a slut" New Years resolution? I think it's very complicated and dense and maybe it's very conflicting in her own head too. Then it goes into talking about God being the creator and basking in his glory and the glory of what he has created. And i think the closing line is very interesing too. Idk, i'm not religious but i do find this kind of maniacal babble very intriguing
  4. It's very interesting how a song that was essentially a replacement is getting this much attention from her - it was the only song she teased, the only one so far that's getting visuals. It's so mysterious. Very old hollywoo glamour
  5. just another folk song but hey, i try so hard, but that's okay it's how the light gets in she's dropping CN mv in 3 minutes and it will go #1 for 23 weeks
  6. Lets hope they suspend The Telegraph altogether since it hasnt been added yet and ban Sputnik just in case too
  7. It's excellent and it's placement after A&W is a perfect choice. Also her chosing to end it at that specific line of his sermon...her mind
  8. There's no score but it reads like a 90 (a 100 if we're blessed) . We'll just have to wait for it to be apporved on Metacritic
  9. Fuck The Telegraph, lets celebrate the Variety review https://variety.com/2023/music/album-reviews/lana-del-rey-did-you-know-that-theres-a-tunnel-under-ocean-blvd-album-review-1235563635/
  10. Title track, A&W, Candy Necklace, Fingertips, Paris Texas rn honorably Taco Truck and Peppers
  11. A&W is so heavy and nihilistic and the Jimmy part is psychotic Judah Smith Interlude is so twisted and he sounds so sinister, it's really opposing the Bible verse he's talking about Candy Necklace is haunting and scary and the Jon Batiste Interlude is like sleep paralysis Just perfect
  12. omg it must have been epic hearing the "aah aaah"s from VB kick in without expecting them
  13. i throw caution to the wind, get onto the bike, take a minute to yourself, skinny dip in my mind
