Noir Bad Disease Gramma Pawn Shop Blues Body Electric Gods & Monsters Many Lana songs are said but generally there's a least one sentence in their lyrics that is a light in the dark. Not over-optimistic but leaves some space for hope. The songs mentioned above, though, sound to me as if there were no hope. In "Bad Disease" that desperate "Will no one help me please?", she isn't able to deal with her disease by herself but there's absolutely no one to help her, in "Gramma" her long-life trying to meet others' demands will always be an uphill battle, in "Noir" for others she doesn't even exist as a person, only as "that insane cartoon" and so on...

How Long Have You Been a Fan and How Long Do You Think You Will Be?
Jazzmin replied to Sadcore's topic in Lana Thoughts
Roughly since the end of 2012. Of course, now I think I will always be. My opinions on Lana songs will surely change, I will happen to dislike some themes or lyrics as time passes but I think I'll stay her fan. Even if somehow (gosh, it's impossible, NOT IN A MILLION YEARS) I lose my feelings towards Lana, I guess I'll still find some of her works masterpieces. -
I'm not impressed by the GUY video. Not that it is utterly bad but not even entertaining, whatever. The "Applause" vid is much better.

Got me! I CONFESS I do . Though, I often listen to that version anyway; actually, it was the first one I've heard, I heard the original much more later and I was kinda surprised, lol.

Derrière les fenêtres Des vies, longtemps, se perdent Derrière les fenêtres J'envie des mondes Qui ressemblent aux songes Derrière les carreaux Tombent en lambeaux des êtres Derrières les pâleurs, on sait qu'un Coeur va naître ou disparaître "Derrière les fenêtres" by Mylène Farmer (Behind the windows Lives, long lost Behind the windows I envy the worlds That appear like dreams Behind the panes The beings fall to pieces Behind the pallor, they know that A heart will be born or disappear)

"Video Games" and then "Lolita (demo)" were the first ones I've ever heard. The first ones I've downloaded were the "Born To Die" album and LDRAKALG (yep, whole albums at once, not just few songs). It was later that I discovered her unreleased stuff.

I've also read TAFWVG only once. I'm OMFG SO LUCKY to own a physical copy and from time to time I read fragments of it, I open it randomly or sometimes I'm in particular mood to read some fragment. Anyway, actually I've read it like from the beginning to the end only once. I agree it is not a totally flawless book but it's still very good . Now she's about to release the audiobook though! And even though I've read, I'm so damnly tempted to hear it read by Emilie... I just love listening to her voice...

Generally, she's singing about Madonna, Marilyn Monroe and she (Alizée) being all blonde and blonde being cool. I'm kinda annoyed by the way she's ending every line with "BLONDE", as if her listener were too stupid and she needed to repeat it to them over and over again.

An extract: https://soundcloud.com/victorbhm/aliz-e-blonde-extrait Well...? At least it's listenable. But I wish Alizée had created something more ambitious.
