  1. I feel like the over-the-top kitschiness is deliberate, especially now with the neon green vinyl. The fact that the album ends with a song as devastating as Hope, and the artwork/visuals are so over the top makes me even more intrigued tbh.
  2. When I first saw the cover I few hours ago I was super unsure about it, but the more I look and it and think about it, the more I like it. Now I think I love it. It doesn't seem like it matches the snippets, but I also kind of think that may be deliberate and to be fair we haven't actually heard as many songs as we're pretending we have. Think back to the snippet she posted of Venice Bitch before releasing the full track. It sounded nothing like what we actually got. I have a feeling this album has lot more going on than we think it does. Love the kitchy American vibes of the cover, it fits really well with the title Normal Fucking Rockwell. It's almost like this one big joke, which is exactly what the title sounds like, but we've got California burning in the background with the painted sky which gives the campy image a slightly more serious undertone. Not crazy about the text but I don't hate it, and think it might not be on the actual vinyls. I really hope The Next Best American Record is reworked. I love the version we have but it does sound like a demo and doesn't sound instrumentally connected to what we have so far. Doin' Time is amazing so I can't really complain about having it on vinyl, even if at first glance it seems like it doesn't fit in. We haven't heard the album so maybe she found a way to place it cohesively. I get why the label would want it, but she could've tacked it on the end as a bonus track, so the fact that she's playing it early makes me think it's for a reason. Also very surprised to see that Hope closes the album. Will be interesting to see how it fits with the rest of the album, I definitely wasn't expecting it to be the final song.
  3. Huh? I'm calling you immature for criticizing everyone else for liking something and suggesting they must be pretending to so they can seem edgy. Anyways, bye. I'm done arguing with children on the internet.
  4. Lol. You literally said that people who like Hope are pretending to, and telling them they're not edge. Sorry if the song is too mature for you, but it's a beautiful song. And then you go on to say Venice Bitch is cute but drags and criticize it as though your opinion is the only one that matters, despite VB probably being her most critically acclaimed song to date. Of course you have the right to express your opinion, but the way you do so is clearly looking for a reaction from other people, hence my "desperate for attention" comment.
  5. GroupieLove is clearly in the age range of 12-15. Desperate for attention, and truly bad taste.
  6. I really do feel like this album is going to be worth the wait and her best yet. I also feel like she might know exactly what she's doing with this release plan, and the year wait may be on purpose in the end, but I also might just be drunk. Venice Bitch really is the perfect song to close the summer and it really is about nostalgia and the passing of time, so maybe she wanted us to sit with it for a year before dropping the album. Either way, I am super ready for it and I don't know why everyone is so concerned about a date at this point. It's coming super soon.
  7. I really hope Lana doesn't read this thread lol.
  8. Wow just listened to the snippet, it is extremely beautiful. I wanna listen on repeat but I'm going to stop myself and try not to listen again. Please let this mean the album is coming.
  9. Obviously it's possible that Doin' Time means nothing for NFR, but it would be pretty damn smart of her to drop a track like this after the massive delays before finally announcing the release of NFR soon. It's sooooo good, and the perfect summer bop. Even better than the original I think.
  10. The lyrics for Hope are pretty damn visionary if you ask me, and some of the most complicated and heartbreaking she's ever written.
  11. Gotta disagree here, her lyrics on Hope and MAC are easily some of the best she's ever written. And people can say that Venice Bitch has bad lyrics all they want, but the song evokes a mood unlike any other and the repetitive lyrics add to the hazy trip down memory lane. I think it's probably the best song she's ever done. As desperately as I want the album, Wild One (or whatever it's called) is extremely beautiful and I can't stop listening to it so that will appease me for a little bit lol.
  12. Wow this song is really beautiful.
  13. Good luck tonight everybody.
  14. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/real-life-rock-top-10-826793/ Hey Blue Baby getting press months later from Rolling Stone.
  15. I am so curious to hear Cinnamon based on everyone here, I haven't listened to the snippet yet. I really don't want to, but I may have to give up and listen I have overplayed the HIAB snippets.
  16. Maybe Lana will drop the album this week on Good Friday. She does love a good religious theme. (Disclaimer: I don't actually expect this to happen )
  17. In Lana's defence, time is passing alarmingly fast in life lately, so maybe she hasn't noticed that it's been so long since she dropped the first tracks lol
  18. Every time I listen to Hope, I get confused as to how anyone could find it boring. It's so stunningly beautiful to me.
