I've been defending Lana online and sharing her music with friends and family for years, changing many people's opinion about her. Not trying to be rude but it seems like you may be the one who needs to get out of the LanaBoards bubble, or rather the online bubble in general. Who cares that you've spoken with lots of people on Reddit and Twitter who think the album is just okay? We get it, you don't love the album, and there are other people that don't either. That's fine, but that says nothing about the longevity of an album. There are a lot more people who think it's a great album. Either way, Lana has nothing to worry about in terms of longevity. She's one of the defining artists of the decade and has clearly made a substantial mark on the music industry, and she's way past the point of being forgotten one day. I really don't get what you're trying to accomplish or convince people.

Lol @ people complaining that the same publications praising Lana now are the ones who hated on her at the beginning of her career. It's been 10 years. The same people aren't writing the reviews anymore. Opinions change, and staff does too. Stop pretending that the acclaim she's getting now is invalidated by the fact that the same site once hated on her. Honestly, haters can hate as much as they want, but please get over the fact that you're in the minority. At this point the only thing to really say is sucks to be you.

I log on here like once a week and every time it's just you talking shit about the album lol. We get it, you find it boring and lackluster. The large majority of people don't and see it for something a lot more substantial than that. Agree to disagree, don't keep repeating yourself.

The context of something can change it's meaning. The word "lit" thrown around casually by people talking about how drunk they are may be basic, but when used in a song comparing a bygone era with a modern culture that's burning itself to the ground, it takes a smarter and funnier meaning.

I'm sorry but it sounds like you don't really understand that lyric and it's purpose in the song if you think it's her being basic. Yes the word "lit" is basic, but it's use in The Greatest is absolutely not.

Nothing wrong with negative opinions about the album, but they do get a little grating when they have a "this is fact" attitude about them. The album is clearly loved by the majority.

You're more than welcome to dislike Hope, but don't embarass yourself by saying it's a trash song. Maybe it's not for you, but it was called out by many critics as a standout on the album and one of the best songs Lana's ever done. It's a heartbreakingly beautiful track, and the stripped down production is exactly what the song needed. Cinematic production on a song like Hope would make no sense.
