Maybe Lana will drop the album this week on Good Friday. She does love a good religious theme. (Disclaimer: I don't actually expect this to happen )

In Lana's defence, time is passing alarmingly fast in life lately, so maybe she hasn't noticed that it's been so long since she dropped the first tracks lol

Every time I listen to Hope, I get confused as to how anyone could find it boring. It's so stunningly beautiful to me.

Even though zero part of me expects a surprise release tomorrow, it would be really nice if it did happen because I move tomorrow and would love to explore my new neighbourhood with the album this weekend. Please and thank you Lana.

I can't imagine there being issues with the label regarding the album. Even if they don't love it, they must know what working with Lana is like by now, and the music that's been released so far is the most critically acclaimed of her career, regardless of if they personally like it or not.

For sure, I totally agree that she should say probably something about soon, and I even moreso agree that her managers acted rudely and immaturely today. That being said, just because modern fame works this way doesn't mean it's right. Lana is an extremely talent singer/songwriter who shouldn't have to stop releasing beautiful music just because she doesn't want to play by the rules of modern fame. The way we treat celebrities can be sickening. Fans of Britney and Amy were atrocious, and it's a sad reflection of our society that it's normal for some people. At the end of the day, we really don't know anything about Lana and that's how she wants it. One thing we do know, is that she has alluded to depression and other mental health struggles she faces many many times. So I think before we are all so quick to judge her and attack her for not giving us the updates we want, we should step back and let her do things at her pace. At the end of the day, she is human and she owes us nothing. She releases music much more quickly than many artists do, and I do think she genuinely does care about her art and the people that love it. I also believe that she probably gets pretty overwhelmed by it all and sometimes the easier thing to do is retreat and stay silent.

Truth. This board gets disturbing. I agree that her managers are being unprofessional and Lana should say something soon, but the level of entitlement and melodrama here is horrifying. If I was Lana, I probably wouldn't want to give us anything either.

I agree that it's a bit tiring but I also think we make it more tiring than it needs to be because we obsess over it. Not blaming anyone for doing it, I do it too, but then I remind myself how she doesn't owe us anything and I put on Venice Bitch and float away to bliss.

Why is everyone so entitled? I want the album as much as anyone but Lana doesn't owe us anything. In the last 5 months she has give us 3 amazing songs, one of which being the best she's ever released (Venice Bitch ) and also awesome live performances of 3 other songs. She doesn't care about good promo so why are we still expecting her to suddenly change? The album is coming soon, and all musical signs point to it being one of her best. I can't imagine reading this board if I was her. I would probably disappear too.

I can pretty confidently now say after listening to it 100 times, Venice Bitch is Lana's best song she's ever done. What a fucking magical ride.

Agreed! The swearing is the perfect touch to Cherry. It's a great song, but would fall more flat without these extra sassy details.

Does anyone know if the vinyl was released today? The store near me didn't get it, but he said they were expecting to so didn't have a reason why it didn't arrive.

Why are people expecting critics to not like the album? Is there any indication that reviews are heading in that direction?

I am so desperate to listen to this album!! It's a time in life where I really need it. Not to give a sob story, but I suffered a great loss last week and my soul is in great need of a pick-me-up, and I have a feeling this album is exactly what I need to start feeling a little better.

I need to sleep now because I get even further absorbed in this messy disaster. Or should I make popcorn?

Now I don't even know if I want it to leak tonight anymore, because that means I have to wait longer, and then stay up another 2 hours once it does leak to listen to it twice.

I'm trying to be patient but also I've had the worst ten days and desperately need this album now.
