The outro of Oceanic Feeling is like the epilogue to the whole album, not just the song. People are asking if the album is cringe or satire, but for me it's a bit of both, deliberately so. She's exploring these kind of cheesy wellness tropes that she's partially satirizing but also admiring them because it's hard to fault anyone who's able to find enlightenment in this dark world, even when the methods seem silly to the rest of us. The outro of the song is kind of like her revealing her cards, showing us that she's not quite the character she's inhabited throughout the album but she is genuinely on the path to finding her own version of peace and calm.

I'm so surprised by the extreme hate, people are so melodramatic. It's one thing to say the music's not for you, but some of the things people are saying... I went for a nice long walk last night and listened three times and it's so lovely! Very late 90s/early 2000s pop, mixed with Chemtrails energy, with subtle touches of 60s/70s. Not a big acid album like she originally set out to make, but the leftovers of that idea are sprinkled throughout, stoner vibes for sure. This polarizing reaction upon release will only ensure it's cult status in the future. I imagine the whole album will be a grower that gets better with each listen, but it's already great.

Mood Ring is so good I love it. All the singles are great so far in their own ways and get better with each listen. I personally feel like she already explored the sound and themes of Melodrama perfectly on that record and on Pure Heroine, and I like that she's taking a totally different approach to the sound of this album. Can't wait to hear the whole thing but I think it's going to be beautiful.
  4. The lack of taste in here tonight is startling. All 3 of the singles are incredible in their own ways.
  5. Arcadia is beautiful but I also love Blue Banisters as an album title. It's so random and seems to mean nothing at first, but once you know what it means it holds so much power. A title that only Lana could pull off and continues the tradition of the last three albums having bizarre titles that are open to interpretation, but all so memorable in their own ways.
  6. Surprise release incoming this Friday the 13th
  7. November 2 sounds like a perfect date. The quiet incoming coldness of winter, mixed with the warmth of the Christmas season beginning, with a little leftover spookiness from autumn. A dream
  8. Arcadia: a region or scene of simple pleasure and quiet
  9. Lmao I love how she's just casually posting stunnning selfies while everyone panics about album news
  10. All the new tracks once they're scrapped and replaced with the originally scrapped tracks

I like the album a lot overall! Lots of strong songs and the production is great throughout. I'm not a huge fan of her singing style and wish she would use her voice more but it is what it is and it mostly works. The second half of the title track is the best part of the album. Ending with Male Fantasy was the biggest misstep in my opinion. It's a nice song but nothing about it has closing track energy. I get her not wanting to end on an angry note but a softer song should still have more of an impact if it's going to end the album.
  12. I'm feeling the single end of August, album mid October. And then maybe the long-desired album of 25 unreleased tracks to celebrate Born To Die's 10 year anniversary
  13. Happy birthday to this misunderstood gem!! I've always thought it's lack of cohesion is what makes it narratively cohesive. It's like a journey across worlds, from one sound to another, as Lana transitioned into a new musical realm of her career. I think it's beautifully realized from start to finish. This album also came out ten days after my dad died and I was feeling really weird and not myself at all until I went to the beach and listened to the album for the first time. It truly brought me back to myself, and I'll never forget the sense of peace and relief I felt as the ocean sounds at the end of Get Free closed the album.
  14. Contemplating on Lana Boards what later later soonish could mean...
  15. I hope this album is the longest of all time
  16. This upcoming masterpiece is going to finally get Lana her first Grammy - Best Country Album
  17. Maybe the album is still called Blue Banisters but they're using a different working title to prevent leaks?
