  1. Just listened to this album on my balcony in the sun and it is so majestic and comforting. Truly sublime
  2. I'd love Lana to come on the forum to tell her that she's doing amazing and is the greatest artist of all time for a lot of people and that I'm so happy she's found a way to balance creating beautiful art and also creating a life for herself that she actually wants to live without some of the unsustainable pressures that come from fame and expectations in the music industry.
  3. I used to listen to this record at my grandma's cottage when I was little, I haven't heard it in forever! Thanks for posting, it's so good
  4. I think we need to accept the fact that there's going to be a lot of silence from her around this album. I really think this is her revenge. Not so much against the fans, but her conflict with the media is important and if we have to deal with a lack of info as a result I'm all here for it. Her words have been twisted for her entire career, so I respect her for releasing really powerful and personal music and now refusing to say anything about it. If she can't speak without being attacked for everything she says, then let her silence make the statement.
  5. Was it not clear that June 1st wasn't a thing when she posted after that album was coming July 4th? And then she blessed us with 3 surprise masterpieces before the original date of June 1st.
  6. I love hearing new Lana songs in my dreams I'm always super impressed with my mind after dreams like that LOL like did I really create that masterpiece in my sleep?
  7. I love yours too! Lana's writing is so layered and often has multiple interpretations that work so well together
  8. It gives me this haunting image of her wandering the hospital halls barefoot, and then even after she's left she still feels that sand/dirt on her feet from the hospital floors, like she can't fully wash away that memory.
  9. I couldn't care less if people don't like Lana's newer music (sucks to be them ) but it definitely is exhausting when the criticism isn't constructive or engaging but just rude. We don't really need to repeatedly hear people say "flop this, Nikki Roach that, this person sucks, that person is lazy, etc etc." Trashing the work isn't the same as discussing it.
  10. Hospital sand still on my feet is such a brilliant and evocative lyric. Truly haunting
  11. This is amaazing! Brilliant concept, excellent as usual
  12. I actually love Blue Banisters as an opening track. Even though the intro is really abrupt, I think it would work so well because these songs are a really new sound for Lana and I like being thrown right into the deep end like that. The song is so emotional but also warm, and I think encompasses a lot of the feelings that the album will have. It's like an acknowledgment that she'll be exploring deep and dark themes on the record, but assures us and herself that she has her loved ones right beside her as she embarks on this journey and we know from the beginning that she'll be okay in the end.
  13. Agreed! I think what she's doing right now is pretty genius. I would love so much if every song on the album had it's own edit of the cover LOL
  14. I hope the selfie is the album cover at this point.
  15. Lana's never going to fade into obscurity, she's already established herself as an icon. And with the way she consistently releases quality art that pushes her creativity further, she will be a legend long past her lifetime. She's one of the few artists today that will last forever, regardless of whether or not she releases mainstream hits.
  16. This song is one of the most beautiful odes to friendship I've ever heard. There is so much heartbreak revolving around the metaphor of blue banisters, but all her sisters coming to paint her banisters green and grey and help her with the healing process is just beyond gorgeous. I think there are a lot of universal elements here that are super relatable, so it makes sense to me that she would also include such specific references to her own friends that have helped save her from her sadness. It's such a love letter to them and I imagine it really means a lot to be included. Every time it turns to May All my sisters fly to me To paint, paint
  17. These new songs are just mindblowingly good, I can't get over it. It's like every Lana album touches a different part of my soul and she just keeps reaching deeper and deeper.
  18. Agreed. I think it's pretty clear what she's doing at this point and that it's not just her being lazy. The media has been brutal to her for her whole career and she has been very vocal about that and her desire for revenge. She looks so fed up on the cover, like she's just staring at the camera and thinking about all the shit she's been unfairly put through, and she's not going to accept it any longer. Of course she knew how people reacted when she first posted that cover, and then she proceeded to use the exact same image for all 3 singles, and hasn't said a word about it aside from briefly posting on Instagram and then deleting. I think she knows exactly what she's doing and this is all a part of her revenge. I personally think it's fascinating, especially given how brilliant the music is so far. Three of the best songs of her career and releasing them all together was a genius move. I'm surprised there isn't more press on the music but I wouldn't be surprised if the media is a little anxious about how to deal with her right now. Can't wait to see what comes next.
  19. I really feel like this is her revenge. Everything she says gets twisted and used against her so she's not going to say anything at all, but she is going to release some of the best music ever made.
  20. I would collapse if the final track of the album is called "Question for the Culture" lowkey manifesting I honestly have complete faith that she could pull it off.

I finally had a chance to listen to the whole album a few times and it's amazing! It's got such a breezy summer vibe while also being very interesting and unpredictable. Great lyrics, great production, great experience all around. One of the best albums of the year so far for sure!
