  1. Lana's made it very clear for a long time that she's telling her life's story through her art, so let's accept that and embark on the journey that she's taking us on. If the music isn't for you anymore that's fine, but people need to stop minimizing her work because it's not what they want. Personal tastes don't indicate the quality or artistic value of what Lana's doing now.
  2. I think people will sadly misinterpret her words and intentions forever so I hope she's at a place where she can roll her eyes and move on. These first tracks are so vulnerable and revealing and I expect the whole album will be so let's hope it's a really cathartic and empowering experience for her.
  3. I really feel like the lyrics and the sound of the songs are something she's never done before so I'm not sure why he made that distinction LOL
  4. I really don't think it was added as a throwaway lyric, it fits perfectly. She's been through a brutal year where a bunch of idiots who know nothing about her have called her a racist, a Karen, a Trump supporter, etc., and obviously none of that is true. The lyric is sincere and places the song in a very specific and challenging time. She's solidifying the fact that that's who she is, and then brings it back to the theme of the song by wishing her father was with her, and reflecting on the disconnect on the lives they live. Not to mention the fact that Lana fans will be singing along to the song forever now. Having people repeat "black lives matter" even if it's just in a song is a lot more powerful than people who post on social media and then do nothing beyond that to support a cause. People dragging her for that will drag her for anything.
  5. OMGGGG I am stunned. Just had a gorgeous 2 hour walk with the songs on repeat and I think they are all absolutely incredible and unique. They don't really remind me of any her previous music, this is something new. It almost feels like singing and performance blended together, her poetry come to life even further through song. All three made me cry and they just get better and better with each listen. Mellow but INTENSE in their own subtle ways. Blue Banisters is sooo beautiful and I think it makes a perfect album title knowing what they represent. All her sisters coming to paint her banisters green was just an unbelievably gorgeous moment. The vibe is sublime. Text Book is shockingly good, I can't even comprehend this track yet. The verses are so intense and then the chorus is one of the warmest things I've ever heard. The lyrics are incredible, the mentions of her father and the desire to replace him through older men are fascinating and insightful. Anyone dragging her for the BLM reference is just sad at this point and only reinforces why she felt the need to include it. It's a very heartfelt and sincere moment followed beautifully by the desire to have her father there. Wildflower Wildfire is sooo good. The lyrics hit hard, especially the Patty reference. Heartbreaking. I absolutely adore the production of the second half as well. It's messy but in the exact way a burning fire should be. Overall a triumphant three songs, I couldn't pick a favourite. These somehow make Chemtrails even better, Lana's development of the direction she's heading over the course of her career is just mindblowing. I can't wait for this album!!
  6. Omg you guys have me shaking in anticipation, I'm sooo excited!! Waiting til I finish work so I can go outside and put myself on flight mode for an hour so no one can bug me.
  7. Us on the edge of our seats waiting to see what happens
  8. Especially when we don't even know if it's actually coming LOL It is though
  9. Omg the drama in here LOL I guess this is what happens when we find out with no warning that our lives are about to change and be blessed with three new songs and we have almost no time to mentally prepare
  10. Lana trying to decide if she should surprise release today instead or enjoy the chaos a little longer
  11. I'm gonna panic if he does post a snippet because I don't want to listen since the release is so soon but I know I won't be able to stop myself.
  12. I truly can't believe we're getting 3 tracks this week LOL I would have been beyond thrilled with one. What a time to be alive
  13. Looking forward to the day when people no longer expect Lana to change her ways and accept her for who she is. To call her lazy makes no sense to me, the amount of work she has put out in the last decade is truly astounding and it doesn't look like she's slowing down any time soon. If messy and inconsistent promo helps her achieve a healthy balance with her work and her life, then that's all that really matters. She's an absolute legend and will be remembered as one of the all time greats, the chaos is part of the ride at this point and I'm here for every moment of it.
  14. It's just the same handful of people who happen to be the loudest and most repetitive

  20. I really hope they leak, they're sooo good! It should've been a double LP release, one with the instrumentals
  21. I have managed to do all of the above many times with great success
  22. The fact is Lana is one of the most creative and prolific artists ever and she's made the deliberate choice not to play the game the way she's "supposed" to and we should all accept that and be happy that she's found a way to navigate the industry in her own way. She's obviously not a mean spirited person and I don't think she posts fake dates to purposely upset us. She gets excited about things and announces them too early, and then either red tape or her own indecision or both lead to delays. It's not the end of the world at all and I really don't know why after a whole decade people are still expecting anything different from her. Accept her for who she is and enjoy the brilliant art as it comes. The best ones lost their minds, so I'm not gonna change, I'll stay the same.
