  8. I was thinking about this last night, and it's not only cherry! White Mustang is most famous among us for lazy vocals. Love too. It's like, Lana wanted to reach out to different topics in her music, but in doing so, she just wanted to sing more comfortably, however, this is just portrayed as lazy, like instead of singing with her chest or head it's just singing with her regular talking voice. IMAGINE if white mustang had started off more softly with her head voice. It would be perfect. I think I always tell myself that Cherry can get away with it because of the production and the bridge but in truth, it DOESNT.
  9. Banned because you remind everyone of sky ferreiras mess

  12. OMGFHSSDGHJ i forgot to post this dream I had which was like 2 months ago at the end of 2017. I dreamed it was just before the show in March that Im going to, and Lana was being interviewed live on my local radio. She posted on her instagram that fans in the city should message her and shed give them the number to call, so I did. The like 10 seconds later I saw that she had messaged back "call me x 208804088" or some number like that with lots of 8's and 0's So i called and she answered the call in like 3 seconds. first it was all just small talk to lana like "hi!" "hi! how are you?" "im good thank you, how are you!" "im good too, what's your name?" "my names ___" "oh thats nice! are you coming to the show tonight?" "yes I am i cant wait" And then i just didnt know what to say so i was like "oh its so hot today!" *silence* "what about where you are?" *realising shes in the same city as me* "oh yeah, its hot". Then it was just super awkward from that point on, and Lana stopped talking and I didn't know what to say, I was trying to think of an interesting to ask which she hadnt heard of before, and just when I thought of one, the radio guys started talking to her and they seemed to have forgotten I was on the line to them, and then like 10 seconds later, i was put on hold and the call ended. I remember thinking "oh what the fuck! I had the perfect chance to ask her something interesting and I just sounded awkward and wasted her time!"
  13. Not saying that cinematic-style pop didnt exist before Lana, but she was DEFINITELY the main influence for every young adult solo musician, especially females, since 2012, lets not deny that. I think Lana inspired all these younger musicians to try out things like synthetic background strings, various signature background noises, eerie dreamy vocals and all that. Also, im not saying ALL (besides two in particular ) are just lana wannabes. Some actually manage to bring something special to alternative pop, like Mars Argo, Aurora and Billie Eilish. I wouldnt say im a fan of these artists but I do think they are more original than others who are influence by lana.

    Evanescence

I went to their Synthesis Tour show last night. I knew it was going to be amazing, but I didn't know HOW amazing. Amy clearly chose the songs that played in the hall before the show started cause there was Bjork, Nine Inch Nails, Bat for Lashes and Godfrapp playing out of the ones I knew. I knew I would love the orchestra parts, and I absolutely did! They played Lacrimosa (Mozart's original) before the band come on, and also Moonligt Sonata which was beautiful. They also did Sally's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas, which was so sweet, since Amy has covered that. It was so surreal when Amy and the band came onstage. Amy was wearing a beautiful black, bell-sleeved gothic dress. Her voice was spot on the ENTIRE TIME. I honestly wasn't expecting that, because Evanescence songs are so difficult to master vocally on stage, but she hit every not and held every long note too (yes, even at the end of BMTL). Jen's backing vocals were amazing too, and really added to the performance. Will on the drums was so enticing to watch too. The drums were one of my favourite sounds in the whole show. Amy genuinely looked so happy to be back in Australia and she thanked us multiple times throughout the show, and told us that her and the band are so thankful, that they love us, that we are all in this together, etc. Before they played My Immortal, Amy stated that despite it being her least favourite song, she decided to include it in Synthesis due to it being the song that has touched the most people. So they did the entire Synthesis album, and at the end Speak To Me, Good Enough, and Swimming Home which was a beautiful close. My favourite song performed was Hi-Lo, but my absolute FAVOURITE moment was when Unraveling transitioned to the strings in Imaginary and the crowd just went 'ooooooooo'. It was so amazing, cause I knew it was coming (I've listened to Synthesis all the way through multiple times), but clearly most people didn't, so hearing and feeling everyone's satisfaction and surprise at that moment was one of the best musical experiences I've ever had! The whole show as an experience was just pure ART, and I could just feel that it was a mix of past, present and future of Evanescence. In a way, I feel like that was the high point of 2018 for me already, and I'm kind of wondering if Lana's show in march will match this because orchestra has always been able to make me shiver the most
  20. I like the 'space lift-off' sound as the second chorus comes in, and the broken beat sounds in the chorus
