  1. I dont know if this is real or not (i think it was rumoured) But i really want "I Talk To Jesus" - Golden Age - Find Me - L'esprit D'Escalier
  2. We need more of you on here. Reading your posts is refreshing against the other shite YEAH i also agree with gold for the untouchable 5 tho, and the colours for the rest of the albums. I really want yellow somewhere for this album (a light little happy gold)
  3. That would be sweet. I definitely wanna see some orange/yellow tho
  4. Feeling kinda pathetic for being the third time I've posted a dream here, but last night I dreamt that Lana wasn't even who we thought she was. I went to an event to meet her and get stuff signed, and she was there but she wasn't really talking . Sweird chubby man was doing everything for her. So this weird chubby bald man gets in front of the crowd and is like "so I am Lana Del Rey. I'm the one who writes the songs, produces it, directs the videos, manages the online accounts. Elizabeth is just the public face who I want to portray my character. I am the real Lana Del Rey" And all the crowd was just standing there quiet like wtf and he was like "I'm the one who writes what she says in interviews too. Elizabeth is just the dressed up image of me". And it just got even weirder, I was talking to other fans and we were dreading the new album now that we found out the truth, some people left before they got any signatures, and I woke up just before I got a signature from Lana (Elizabeth) when she said to me "I didn't think anyone would take Lana that seriously. No musician can be real these days" But man was I relieved when I woke ip
  5. THANK YOU We all need to appreciate HM more <3 My favourite parts of the era were: How Lana kept talking about it, giving hints, etc, about the music direction she was heading in, the Honeymoon Hotline, etc. How active she was before and during this era How lots of other stuff was released around the same time to compliment it (Prisoner, Big Eyes, I Can Fly, Wait For Life) Freak and The Blackest Day will never not give me chills Her live shows during this era were amazing The uniqueness- yes her previous albums are unique but HM managed to make her music style even MORE unique so dont argue with me here. The HBTB shoots, and aesthetic The insight this album gave us into Lana's personal life and fears, etc. It was less upfront (to some of ur dismay), but for a good reason Some other things I should mention: I liked the idea of the photoshoots for Honeymoon, and I totally get the whole 'distant, dreaminess', but I do like to see her face more :') The art in the album booklet was kinda like a colourful Ultraviolence. which was cool, but I hope the next can be a bit different.
  6. Well I kept seeing this everywhere "She stated that she wanted the upcoming record to have a "pop-friendly" and "New York style" sound, and to be a little harder, faster, more upbeat, and less dreamy" on wikipedia ( i know, not reliable anyway) from this interview http://www.nme.com/features/a-letter-from-lana-del-rey-the-full-nme-cover-interview-757009 I assumed she meant for LDR5
  7. She just has a way of making any colour her own. It could be bright, vintage filtered or b&w and still be perfect. True tho, i just can't wait for colour schemes Didn't she say it would be less dreamy? and more upbeat NY style? Dno if she kept her word on that brief description but I doubt it will be a HM continuation.
  8. Wow thanks for your perspective! Having never been to America I think I veered towards the pessimistic view (black slavery, shooting anyone who moves- wild west style, environmentally destructive) on what America used to be. Even still, at the time it was the land of The Free compared to the test of the world. I guess Lana just wants America to stay free, as the decades roll on, and have democracy.
  9. But BTD did have like all of the tracks as standout tracks, so commercially, it did *cough* slay..... I still refuse to say "BTD slays them all" out loud tho...
  10. I think he just blocked you? I can see his page, but its private
  11. I still think Subversive has something to do with this album thogh. Lana wouldn't just put up that word on her instagram if it didn't mean much to her. I think the word subversive was a big inspiration while writing and recording the new album. I think we're up for something revolutionary (but she's always been revolutionairy). And with all the recent science, political, new age posts, she is INSPIRED (or could she be dropping hints?) Don't read the spoiler if you don't wanna know about leaked stuff
  12. Suggestion: Change the setting where you can only change your display name once every 100 days (if that's possible). I can see how it would be ridiculous is everyone was changing their name every 3 days or something, but 100 days is very excessive imo. - Never mind! found out you can ask Mods to change it
  13. Has anything been spilled on the direction shes taking with this album? I loved Froot (especially immortal), but i need some heavy electro back from Electra Heart days
  14. i didnt even know HDS was a single. It seems ages since blurryface came out, i didnt think any more was happening. Im glad though, HDS, hometown and the judge are my favourites from the album so im glad at least one is a single
  15. True, shes not so famous that shes trending in youtube every week, but when you think about it, Lana inspires more people than Taylor Swift --> who is actually inspired by lana. Hell, even Rihanna seems to have taken note EVERYONE comments on Lana's aesthetic and asks about what inspires her. I doubt anyone does that to taylor
  16. So freakin true about every other indie newcomer using Lana as inspiration (NOT that thats bad, except for Halsey totally ripping of National Anthem with New Americana) I kinda feel like Lana has united a lot of people with their music taste though, like 2 main scenarios with Lana fans are either you listened to mainstream pop before and turned indie because of Lana, or you listened to extreme alternative before (rock, metal, etc) and Lana then made you indie as well :'D idk, without having listened to Lana first, i would not be listening to Marina and the Diamonds, Florence + The Machine, Halsey, and plenty of other indie/pop people. I would still be only listening to Evanescence, Linkin Park and Paramore.
  17. I always get Marilyn Monroe vibes from this song. It's like Lana is singing it as a bit of a joke, but was actually thinking of Marilyn at the time too. Everyone knows Marilyn slept with people in the modelling and movie industry, and then JFK. And the whole "this is my show" just reminds me of her so much because in the end, she was the most famous female of her time and the people she slept with were nothing (ok besides jfk obviously, but that was an affair, not her trying to get to the top). And the "lay me down tonight in my linen and curls/diamonds and pearls" - how can that not remind you of everything Marilyn?
  18. Just consulting the booklet from the Paradise CD and in Off to the Races Actual lyrics: "races, cases, of Bicardi chases" What I heard : "races cases Upper Party Chases" I thought it was like upper party meant high class, and they were at the horse races (chasers) what the fck And then in the bridge I thought it said "I said hi, you never looked so beautiful..." When it says "hun" not hi. And instead of "casino oasis" I thought it said "cause you know oasis" as in the band Oasis I also had no idea what certain words like "Rikers Island, chateau marmont, cognac" were so I always skipped them when singing In diet mountain dew: I thought it was "can we get it now look down and gritty" Again, in national anthem: "Sugar sugar hell no" instead of "how now" "Gimme chevron" instead of "king of chevron" "Keep me safe [something] time will hold us"???? Instead of "in his belltower hotel" And in cola I thought it said "granddaughter pray" instead of "grand ole opry" Wow I'm hopeless
  19. Ur Girl (I love the instrumentals Ive heard SO much, not so much the lyrics tho) I Want It All (Im just so fascinated by both National Anthem Demos so this one would satisfy me a lot) Cruel World, before the guitar solo was removed and any other demos for Ultraviolence (and Honeymoon if there are any)
  20. Omg :') i love seeing all her random little vids, and her posts on what shes passionate about (like politics), but i do wish the same as you sometimes! I think the only tracks I would like off UV (if i didnt know lana from BTD) would be Ultraviolence, West Coast and Black Beauty :S that was hard to admit, but true. If i didnt already like her lyric style i would have hated Brooklyn Baby and Cruel World for sure
  21. Can we only post if we're officially playing?
  22. I thought it was her hand on the back of her neck :'D like cause she was nervous or something Yeah, the only thing shes said about BTD is that its about her own life and her own struggles. she certainly hasnt experienced racism or poverty, etc, herself. But she definitely stands against it, just not with the lyrics in her album :') I actually used to worry about her possibly being a Trump supporter, because in the Ride monologue she says stuff like "I believe in the country America used to be" which i thought was very similar to Make America Gr8 Again... And then I thought shed support Trump because of her obsession with high class, rich men, big companies, etc ( in her SONGS, maybe not so much in her personal life).. I was just SO relieved when i found out she was a big Obama supporter
