she's probably using it in an ironic way, as a lot of her lyrics are ironic/sardonic. but paradise is a really subjective word, we all have different versions of 'paradise'.

ride - 3/5, not so much of a fan, it's just not my style. american - 5/5, love this one so much. cola - 5/5, adore it. it's perfection. body electric - 4/5, it's dope as a studio version, but the live one is still my favourite. blue velvet - 3/5, like ride, not my style. gods and monsters - 5/5, my favourite i think, love it. yayo - 5/5, i'd say it's even better than the nevada version, and i love that song so much. bel air - 4/5, i haven't listened as much, but it's nice. lol at my in-depth review :smiles:

having to relate to a song to like it is a kind of weird idea. i love crystal castles as much as lana, but i don't relate to having sex with robot prostitutes or deathrays (although i fucking love deathrays). i think i'd get on with lana, we're similar in a few ways.

Ik, there's a CC thread but Alice deserves her own thread. She was one of my inspirations before, but after reading CC's latest NME interview, I'm even more inspired by her. The fact that she's telling young girls to stand up for themselves and to not allow themselves to be pushed around to me is pretty damn cool. A lot of people have said stuff like she's arrogant, etc but I've always seen her as very very down to earth. I'm not sure how many homeless people are arrogant exactly? But anyway, what's your thought on the kween of kool?
