    Charli XCX

I bet she'd release it tomorrow if she could. Thing is, a lot of artists including Charli goes through a lot of stress when releasing a new album (I know you're smart enough to know that.) Not to mention the amount of meetings she has to do with her label and producers. Remember how much anxiety she had about releasing 'True Romance'? She mentioned it in an interview once. Just take Sky for an example. The back of 'As If' says her debut album would be released summer 2011 and look how that turned out. I just feel like the last thing the artist would wanna hear at this point is "When do we get...?/Why did you push back...?" etc. Just give 'em a break, it is coming. It's hard to be patient, I get it, even harder not to wonder when sometimes, but if you really care for the artist you'd want them to release it whenever they're ready, not the fans.

oh give her a break remember the times she literally had to spell it out to us? #BeAggressive #A-M-E-R-I-C-A #T-R-O-U-B-L-E
  3. I was having a dream a couple of months back ago about a certain sound to one of their songs, but I never got around to what song it actually was. Fast forward (or rewinds rather) a couple of weeks back ago I remembered it. Turns out it was from "This Old Routine". Been obsessed with that song ever since I tried browsing through some old interviews they did in swedish, but to no prevail. They only mentioned 'Drunken Trees EP' and the early MySpace demo uploads in 2007 Well, they're in the studio and on the road this year. Prayers answered

    1. Fergie is in the same band as Will.I.Am. 2. Will.I.Am did a song with Britney Spears. 3. Britney Spears has worked with Bloodshy & Avant. 3. Bloodshy & Avant produced "One" for Sky Ferreira. Score: 4 Gwen Stefani & Lorde
  8. Overall rating: 8/10 First impression: I wasn't very fond of this song at first, but it has blossomed to its full potential (meaning to the point where I never skip it when listening to AKA.) Impression now: Really flirty and fun. It's like the perfect stripping song. iTunes plays: 27 Songs I play along with it: Queen of the Gas Station. I used to always confuse the two of them, but there's this kind of feeling to the both of them that goes so well together in my head. It's like "hae k, meet me at the gas station later on i'll put on a show for you at the motel nearby~." What I like about it: Unusual from her 'typical' work. Diverse. Especially at the time she did this. Can you imagine if she performed it live now? What I dislike about it: The length of the song is too long? I dunno. Memories I associate with this song: 'Seductively' dancing to it once when I had to change to pyjamas. Colors/images that come to mind: Strip place for sure. I can't take this song too seriously though... At some times because of an old sketch I recall watching when I was a kid. It's about Benny Hill who visits a striptease as a kid and the main act is dancing around with a big balloon to cover up her body. In which Benny decides to use his slingshot to pop it, only to have the actual woman deflate instead. Comedy Gold. I found it here if anyone's interested (skip to ~1.38). Favorite lyrics: Maybe we could go to Coney Island / Maybe I could sing you to sleep Interpretation: As mentioned before, it really his this stripper sound to it. I bet this is what ol' men's used to hear all the time back in the day when they visited that place. Maybe that's where she met K? He was a regular at the local strip place in Brooklyn and Lizzy was still torn between motel singer or the silver pole~ This song makes me feel: Sexy. Favorite part of the song:

  12. I kinda started watching a let's play on it... Do you know who she's seeing at the end? I'm guessing it's Lilly! It has to be! Many people say it might be Kenny or Molly as well
  13. u put apple stickers on ur playstation?
  14. When the tickets to the actual Coachella are even more expensive than the flight tickets I hope at least someone from here gets the chance to see her (or Washed Out or Lorde )
  15. I know. Have you bought Season 2? Really wanna buy it, but it's so expensive. I think I'm gonna wait for it to drop a bit and then perhaps get it.
  16. Just finished The Walking Dead. Speechless
  17. Washed Out - Within and Without
  18. Reductive Now go create that sub-forum to make up for it
  19. Overall rating: ★★★★★ First impression: Hands down the best song on the album. I remember listening through the entire album the day 'Born to Die' got released and this song just stood out. My first favorite song by her! Impression now: Flawless. iTunes plays: Because I'm always deleting/importing/replacing Lana songs to keep up with the absolute freshest material this is so irrelevant in my case. But right now it's 31. Songs I play along with it: I really like to play this fanmade instrumental version of this song. Doesn't matter which one I play first, but if I play the original before listening to the instrumental version I just end up having a karaoke festival wherever I am because the song gets so beautiful when I hear the backing track tunes only and I'm like What I like about it: It's so out of her normal element~ What I dislike about it: I wish she would've tried doing songs like these a lot more. Memories I associate with this song: January 2012: Riding back and forth to school with this in my earphones. Lip syncing every lyric. Colors/images that come to mind: Las Vegas. Flames. String orchestra. Purple. K. Stripper Pole. Scarlet(t) Favorite lyrics: This song has a recurring lyric theme as I like to call it. Let's analyze: I really love this lyric transition in the song: She does this on "National Anthem" as well: Interpretation: [Plays "02 Off to the Races.mp3" and writes down whatever I'm thinking throughout the song] Her ol' man doesn't mind her past. He loves her. (Has this "Put Me In a Movie" feeling to it in a daddy kinda way now that I think about it). He takes care of her. She feels safe with him. He admire her flaws and accepts her for who she is. Lizzy <3 K <3 Coney Island. K is a thief (and she's gonna stay and pray with him 'til the end~ (as in his death sentence? oh my god major epiphany)). But she trusts him, the decision of the lord to watch over him. (Note: "Dear lord when I get to heaven / Please let me bring my man" from "Young and Beautiful"... So not only does she wanna bring Barrie with her. She also has K waiting for her in heaven. Awks.)
