I just feel like it's LA celebrities in particular who are in this weird bubble and they tell you they know what's going on in the world...but they really don't? There's something about lviing in that place that makes them become these insufferable privileged supreme beings. Very weird. I'm going to boil her incoherent speech down to painkillers + morning brain fog.

I kinda hate when artists get all hippie and start talking about things that make no sense whatsoever and talk about energies and feelings and rainbows and all that weird incoherent stuff

It was a genuine question and it wasn’t meant to come off as me stating it as fact. It’s just that on twitter there’s always debates about it because some Mexicans say they are white, so that’s why I was confused x

She's a dreamer. She dreams a lot

Its starting...

It was a genuine question. Please refer back a few pages where I explained myself to another user. I'm not going over this again when the site is lagging

Her comment really tarnished the whole concept of the album for me, like she really said that unprovoked when she could have actually talked about what the album was about and what the songs meant to her or something but she just HAD to bring up the QFTC stuff?

Aren't Mexicans white?

Art is still art though, and I know her work might not be for everybody but I really don't think it's fair to drag her when it's clearly something she's passionate about. Overall I'd say I'm kinda neutral with this whole situation. On one hand I do think it was over the top with the way she handled things, and how she accused Lana straight up of cropping out her watermark. I think she should have cooled off for a bit before going in for the kill - but on the other hand, I get that this can be upsetting for the artist because getting exposure means a lot to them. I've mentioned in the other thread before, but I have a lot of friends who are artists and they come to me telling me they just feel like giving up their work all together because people don't give credit The hate and insults she's getting is quite ridiculous and unfair

Yeah a lot of people here have made snide remarks against her work which is disappointing because at the end of the day it's her work which she's proud of and makes a living from. She shouldn't be dragged for that at all imo

Lana post the album cover out of spite challenge
-
Lana stans are gross for sending death threats, I said what I said. Who does that? Weird mfs
-
Lana's "I'll be gone for a while" post has the same energy as a stan account on Twitter who got exposed being a toxic person in a groupchat, got cancelled and decided to 'take a break' from Twitter until further notice

The Honeymoon cover is great. Yes there are better alternatives but overall the only bad thing is that there is too much text on the front but it's still a gorgeous vibrant picture which captures the essence of the Honeymoon theme very well.

Was listening to some Marina last night and put on Starring Role. Something about the lines "You don't love me / Big fucking deal / I'll never tell you how I feel" just feels so punchy yet sad. I love it a lot

I know you're being empathetic, and I understand that, but she's a grown woman who has shown time and time again that she's more of a bad person than a good one - mental illness or no mental illness. You can't be a nice person and say in the same breath that a certain artist deserved to get raped. You just can't.
-
True. It's actually very sad to me that there are women like her who just turn the other cheek and brush aside the trauma her man probably caused a lot of young girls and it actually makes me angry that people are consistently calling her a 'queen' and such. I think there needs to come a point where you can't separate the art from the artist when something like this is going on, it just doesn't sit right with me at all.

Well shit...how does she have stans?
