I'm not going to let this make me hopeful that Courtney is one of the features on the album. I refuse to dream and be disappointed.

What has been going on in here lately?

All those Adele gifs?? I mean come on I love Adele as much as the next person but spamming her all over a LANA DEL REY forum about a LANA DEL REY album?? Really??

And then arguing whether the song is really called BAR or Architecture??   Have some patience and wait till we get told by the queen herself.

... Then y'all are saying that Lana's music is bad if it doesn't chart?? Um goodbye Lana's music is miles ahead of half the garbage that "charts" nowadays...    I stan talent, not generic recycled shitty mainstream pop trash that everyone else is making. If you can't appreciate Lana's brilliance then get out, honestly.

And the worst sin of them all... comparing a queen like LDR to trash like Meghan Trainor and Halsey???

    Y'all are a messssss

I too am excited for Depressing Soda Fountain. I am sure it will be so great and won't at all sound like the musical equivalent of Tumblr having an orgasm.

I love Lana. AKA, Born To Die, and Ultraviolence are my favorite albums.

I'm not expecting her to sell millions of records. I'm also not expecting her to remake Born To Die over and over like some of the more chart-obsessed members are (or Ultraviolence).

I'd appreciate it if she put more effort in though. While fans aren't entitled to anything, it's a pretty big "fuck you" to the people who made her rich and famous that she doesn't seem to do anything.

    you're kidding, right?

Lana is lazy as fuck, but she's still talented.

out of curiosity, do you unironically believe that music is automatically good just because it sells more?

The next single will be a promo single anyway. The track you get with the pre-order. Just like Terrence Loves You. So I really hope we get it.

And please, can you all say goodbye to "successful single Lana"? Even if she releases a song with some kind of commercial appeal like Love she's not into promoting to even have it being played at radio stations.

Who cares about commercial success? The important thing is that it will be a great song!

Btw everyone worried that "Best American Record" will sound cocky and turn people off...no? It's obviously so straight forward that it has to be ironic And she literally provides the context in the title track? Shit, that's probably why she hasn't announced the title separately, so she could debut it with the song.

Seriously, the argument that someone else is a better option than Dylan purely because the best he ever did on the singles charts was #2 is ridiculous. Who gives a fuck? I'm sure Lana would agree. She wanted to collaborate with Lou Reed and he never got above #16. I'll never understand people who care more about charting than anything else. And, for the record, Nicki has never done above #2 on a song she was the main artist on either.

Guys, you're still crying about charts??

Charts were Lana's thing when BtD era was a thing.. After that, she stopped caring about charts.. And here you are, after all these years, complaining about her flopping.. WHY??

I get it, you're her fans, but so am I!! If she doesn't care about charts (she has a lot of money, can buy us all together), why would you cry?? I want her to do more promo, yes, but you gotta understand that she's not gonna do it.. I'm like 'whatever, if she's okay with that, so am I, meh"..

Dunno, but load of in this post, I'll stop and remove myself from the face of the Earth.

I can't go on this thread without coming across another post from you about how lana is flopping/did flop/is going to flop if she doesn't do xyz. Her music isn't entirely mainstream because she offers a new perspective. It's time appreciate her for who she is; caring about her sales more than she does is kind of sad.
