I can corroborate this. I knew it looked familiar! -
I am forever grateful to the Lanaboards family for continuously opening my eyes to great music K.I.D is soo good, and I love their whole aesthetic and look. They're coming to my city with Cupcakke this April but it's 21+ and I'll be 20 then

Blame It On You - Charli XCX

Okay but does anyone else think that 3AM (Pull Up) could seriously be a hit?? it's the most radio friendly and it's just a BOP in general edit: although I hate that it would be censored if it got on the radio
-
White Roses I think omg
-
Do we know the story behind it? Why she ever decided to release that atrocity of a song that's not even included on the mixtape?

Wait After The Afterparty is such a joke compared to any given song on this mixtape

I want to strip to White Roses, it's sooo good. It's like the little slutty sister to Vroom Vroom also 3AM is a hit and should be sent to the radio ASAP edit: I also want to strip to Blame It On You

Are we really gonna act like Chuck's not a good photographer? Yikes She's primarily a medium format photographer, which is a subset of film. She's renowned in the photography industry and constantly gets great gigs. It's one thing to say you don't care for this type of photography but to completely discredit her work is..........just wrong. Being a film photographer myself, I guess I can easily appreciate her and Neil's work; I guess I'm kind of biased. She barely retouches her work so it looks a little raw, and yeah sometimes the focus isn't precisely clear but that's because it's film photography, which is tricky. Yeah the Honeymoon cover was fucking terrible in every way possible bad but Chucks other work for Lana is pretty good, like the photo above or her shots for National Anthem, HBTB or MTWBT. Let's not act like Chuck is a bad photographer. Have some faith girls -
This song feels like that moment when you get back home after being out and you're all alone and sad and realize that partying is just a way to numb out your feelings

I would have to say, just by using a strict interpretation of the term "magnum opus," that Video Games or Young & Beautiful or Ride would be it. In terms of her records, I'd say Ultraviolence is her magnum opus--critics loved it as well as fans. It was a meticulously created album with a distinct sound, powerful lyrics, and multifaceted story to tell. BTD was great, as well as Paradise, but it wasn't celebrated by critics as much as UV. Honeymoon just seemed like a natural progression of her sound and image, but it wasn't as grand or unique as UV by any means. Also, personally, I think the whole Ultraviolence project was her magnum opus. It's such a beautiful record

We should prob make a new thread for this stupid debate we've been having about indie v. major record label co... We've been having this argument for too long in a thread that's kind of irrelevant to it but here goes my opinion anyway.. I don't think she should go indie but I do feel like there's a major dissonance between her ambitions and that of a major label Honestly, part of me kind of feels bad for her. She probably knows she can't fully go indie because it'll be a disaster but she's unhappy with her label so she's stuck. She has said so many times before that all she really wants is a community of likeminded artists that respect her. She just wants to make music & art that she loves and to perform them for fans but her label wants more because of how cutthroat and ambiguous the music industry is nowadays. It's not about the music anymore sadly. I think Lana is in a tough position and we should give her more credit. I think she wants things simple but sadly that's not how the industry is in this era... Honestly God bless Lana for dealing with us needy fans and a huge label and countless leaks and just everything -
3WW - alt-J it's their first single from their album coming out in June and it's SO good

Yes!! Also, I think it'd be cool if she brought it back to her AKA style for LDR5. I would love a whole record of Pawn Shop Blues + Kill Kill + Yayo, so like stripped back but still cinematic and esoteric. She sounds beautiful with less production and fuss and just a guitar (I'm looking at you On Our Way ). But I would also love her to do a concept album that has the same golden vintage feel that JFK, I Don't Wanna Go, Driving In Cars With Boys and Hollywood have (and even Angels Forever). I would kill for a concept album like that. It just feels like Lana.
