  1. Y'all I'm just hoping we don't get another messy cover like Honeymoon I would take anything over that red/blue medium format mess
  2. @ I'd watch this. It's short and concise although the issue is so incredibly complex. Shortest answer I can give is that it's all about a claim to land. Also, I'm a political science major as well @ Here's another one from a slightly different perspective, enjoy friend
  3. Weeks maybe even a month or two Ultraviolence on the other hand........ it's on repeat forever
  4. Exactly I don't think we've ever been completely disappointed about a body of work or a project that Lana has put out. Plus, like some have said before, we are technically still on schedule since Love leaked super early. Patience, people. Lana is gonna serve us some tunes/news soon enough
  5. Wound Up -- FKA twigs I'm obviously listening to the live version since we'll never get the studio version
  6. I love BAR so much but the chorus is just.....yikes Both of the verses and the bridge make up for it though (and the glass breaking noise omg). Also, am I the only one who wants some strings added to it? Nothing huge like BTD level strings but just a subtle addition for more natural texture esp. in the chorus where it kind of falls flat and doesn't feel climactic.

  8. I don't know if this is necessarily an unpopular opinion but Neil Krug can literally do no wrong. All of his Lana photos are beautiful and eccentric and I would be happy if he did album art for every record forward I think he's one of the few people that really captures what Lana's vision is for each record.
  9. Bel Air Salvatore Is This Happiness (I think she would be really good at singing this one live) Pawn Shop Blues Sad Girl On Our Way Art Deco Florida Kilos (since she only did it ONCE )
  10. The Anatomy of Fascism by Robert O. Paxton & Necessary Illusions by Noam Chomsky because both are so relevant nowadays in the US Also going to start rereading Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton after this semester ends because it's such a beautiful story
  11. Yeah I get that Again, I think I'm just too cynical to appreciate Banksy and his work. To me, it just feels like an exploitation. However, I do like that he included local Palestinian art in the hotel, I think that's super cool.
  12. I don't know how I feel about this. I'm all for beautiful art that illustrates conflict/human rights violations/times of war or contention etc., but this just doesn't feel right? It feels like it's exploiting the Palestinian plight imo Like... their struggle is not our museum. I don't know, maybe I'm just too cynical or too sensitive. I'm not Palestinian, though part of my family is Jewish, so I'd love to get a Palestinian's take on this. This would make for an interesting conversation! (I'm also not the biggest fan of Banksy so I am biased)
  13. Honeymooning Alone -- Bat For Lashes (I really recommend this song to every lana fan. It'll give you West Coast vibes for sure. It's soooo good and so is the whole record that it's on) (Also Neil Krug took some amazing photos for her )

  15. My top 5: 1. On Our Way 2. I Don't Wanna Go 3. JFK 4. Driving In Cars With Boys 5. Angels Forever Prom Song gets a notable mention too. It's not even that great imo buuut it gives me a nostalgic feeling of being like a freshman in highschool or something and just being young & dumb & melodramatic (also the leaked version of Black Beauty... less is more with this song. also also that guitar that starts in the second verse after the chorus is beautiful)
  16. Sad Girl is one of the best songs off of UV. I love the bridge and just the whole western feel the song gives me I'm new here pls play nice
