I don't care tbh because it's not my business. As long as she keeps bringing the goods and she's happy, who cares really? She cares about her image, just like anyone but she's herself and doesn't try too hard and I really appreciate that.
 
 
You can't go around telling people to get out of threads because you know, this isn't your forum and that's really rude. You posted a thread and asked for discussion on this subject and you don't like that people have disagreed with you.

As long as Lana is happy in what she wears, we should be happy. She doesn't need to go around constantly trying to impress people. I know she's a "celebrity" but it's her choice when she's at an event to wear whatever she feels comfortable in.

um i'm sorry, you joined today, you can't tell anybody else who this forum is for haha. i'm not a feminist, i just think everyone should be happy and feel comfortable in their own skin - is that such a bad thing? concerned about her style change? oh lord. 

oh right, because she's a woman she should HAVE to look 'flawless' all of the time. she should have to spend her whole life trying to impress people who she doesn't even know personally.

It's for British artists (Scottish, Welsh & English & sometimes Northern Irish if they consider themselves British) and one or two for International artists. I don't think it's voted by the public - I'm not sure on that but either way, UK/Britain loves Lana.
 
I think it's a big deal that Lana won one this one because she was nominated against Rihanna, who also has a huge fan base here.

I think that's a blanket statement, I don't think I could disagree more. If anything, girls are indoctrinated with sexism from being brought up in a patriarchal society that puts straight, white men on a pedestal and puts minorities and women on a lower tier of importance and value.
 
Like- no offense, not trying to come for your wig or anything but it drives me crazy when people are like "This is what makes us girls is sooooo true omg, girls back stab etc etc" I mean it happens but some also value friendships and relationships like there doesn't have to be one or the other.

I don't think she overreacted at all. Her album got torn apart and trashed. They made her a laughing stock on account of one mediocre performance (mediocre is hardly the word... if I had to perform on one of the biggest shows in the U.S. I would flop too.) They didn't bother to look into her background beyond two facts: her father is rich and she scored a record deal. They didn't care at all that she was a talented writer or that she had previously released an album that failed, so on and so forth.
 
Lana has a right to stick up for herself. Video Games was a Grammy-worthy song and her album was the best of 2012 (in my opinion). She graciously never responded to any of her critics. She doesn't need to exaggerate anything the critics said because their vicious comments were just that: vicious.
