  1. But I still get lonely And baby only then Do I let myself recline? Can I let go? And let your memory dance In the ballroom of my mind Across that county line
  2. Cinnamon has hip-hop influences, so it's definitely present.
  3. It's from her Instagram, but I slapped a Parental Advisory logo on it.
  4. I truly believe that, one day (maybe around her 10 year), she'll end up doing something like this. It's not like any studio would turn it down. She has enough fans of the unreleased stuff to qualify a quiet release.
  5. I think you're onto something, but while I do expect more of Lana's hip-hop influences and "cinematic" production to appear on the rest of the album, I think everything will still tie into having piano and guitar like these three "fan singles" have. HiAB, I'm sure, will build up in production as it goes along. Cinnamon already has it. HtD has it, but with that piano. It makes sense.
  6. Seriously though. People seem to not think about how, in 7 years, Lana has released more tracks/albums than most artists do in double that time. That's not even including the 50,000,000 unreleased songs out there. We really have no right to be impatient, we've been severely spoiled already.
  7. Sorry, haven't gone too far back in the thread, but anybody else notice all the references and homaging to Natural Born Killers in the Gucci ad? The movie also has a waitress sequence in the diner, as well as many scenes with the two leads driving in their car with stock footage like this in the window playing in the background.
  8. 8/10 - I love me some T. Rex, and while this isn't one of my favorites, it's still top tier and indicative of what I love about them and their sound.
  9. My little blurb on Rate Your Music about HIADT made the front page as top review today.
  10. What era is it from? I wasn't sure. Either way, something similar to that from present day would be beautiful, imo
  11. Bored. Did these, sincere this time. I really like the idea of something simple. Textless. Bare like she's attempting to do. Tbh, I really love this first one. Or something in the style of it.
  12. Even outside being a Lana stan, this album, thus far, has classic status written all over it. I can see people in 2032 considering it as such like we commonly do 90s stuff today. It just really gives that impression. (Plus, the production sounds like it can hold up with the years going by.)
  13. You remember in Juno, when they're looking through classifieds for someone to take Juno's bastard? She says "I want a parakeet" during such a crucial discussion. I feel like Juno with the Hope stuff. I try to forget that America is falling apart and instead try to cook. I've made bread, cakes, pizzas, and a shit ton of Indian and Thai foods because I want to eat as much as possible before the inevitable happens. Edit: Sorry, I'm super high and I wanted to answer this question because I want to brag about my newfound culinary skills.
  14. I think she's being a bit sarcastic about her social media attention while also explaining that fame keeps her at a distance from her loved ones.
  15. All three of the singles from NFR have entered the all-time list on Rate Your Music, when they usually embrace rock and indie rock, etc. on that site. In fact, Lana covers their top 1000 of the 2010s. "Hope is a Dangerous Thing..." has a rating that'll put it around the top 300, as well, when it refreshes for the week. I know it's silly, but that website's charts are really indicative of what is largely considered "the greats", since they're a bunch of serious music snobs on there. Plus, Lana has nine singles for a top 1000 in a decade that saw nearly 20,000 singles released in its timespan (and there's still a year to go). That's pretty impressive. Venice Bitch - #84 MAC - #268 Video Games - #310 Ride - #312 West Coast #402 Shades of Cool - #542 Brooklyn Baby - #689 Born to Die - #959
  16. Cruel World - 37 (+) Ultraviolence - 26 Shades of Cool - 46 Brooklyn Baby - 4 West Coast - 33 Pretty When You Cry - 48 (-) Black Beauty - 46
