Agree, maybe not a year but at least a month or two in between the last summer festival tour in Europe and the first NFR show in New York. I’m like, as a fan, disappointed that they weren’t played with the band (I’m convinced that Cinnamon will sound AMAZING with that bass omg) but I still appreciate that she made an effort to sing them anyway. -

That’s normal, all security guards pour water into concert goers mouths. I don’t know why, maybe it was the way you formulated it or maybe I actually pictured it, but this made me laugh out for real. Yes, Cinnamon and HIAB. -

Seeing those clips of Cinnamon and HIAB reminds me of when she sang Love in acapella in London 2017, it felt really special since it was a small venue and hearing everyone sing along was just beautiful, but it also felt like she and the band hadn’t rehearsed enough to perform them with music. She even stepped over to Byron to ask if he knew the chords to it, which he didn’t, so she sang it alone instead. I’m glad she didn’t skip it and gave it a try anyway. -

Is it a private concert? Do we know how long she’ll perform? -

If you’ve seen Alex’s Instagram story updates about her dance classes, you can tell she’s really talented. She has also danced for/with J.Lo and Beyoncé. -
Hozier has started his own podcast in collaboration with Global Citizen, "The Cry Power podcast", and has guests (Mavies Staples from his "Nina Cried Power", Bono from U2 and more) to discuss how artists and activists can change the world. First out is Hozier and Annie Lennox. You can listen to the podcast in this link: https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/connect/crypower/episode1/ (I personally am looking forward to the episode with Bono since I'm a U2 fan too)

Good morning everyone, a bit disappointed the set list is more or less the same but not surprised. I guess it’ll stay the same for the rest of the NA leg (and probably European leg as well). Thanks for all the pictures, Elle! -
Oh, it’s just a buzzfeed quiz, they usually have random food and stuff you need to pick. I don’t think they’re connected to Lana or anything.
-
Can’t remember completely right now, but I think they shortened most of Lana’s songs (if not all? but they did it in a good way/mixed them well) and I believe Schubert’s songs were full, but I’m not sure because I had never heard them before. I just noticed that they were on for longer so I simply assumed they’re in full. Edit: Let me just add that this radio show airs on a channel where they play classical music, so that might be a reason why Schubert’s songs were on for longer.

I'll combine the ones above and say: I moved to California‚ but it's just a state of mind It turns out everywhere you go‚ you take yourself‚ that's not a lie vs I have a disco ball mind, lights flashing all of the time

I asked in the random Lana discussions thread if anyone would like a translation of this radio show where the host compares Lana Del Rey to Austrian nineteenth-century composer Franz Schubert. I got some response and, since we all know I have no life, I thought it might as well go bananas again and translate a whole radio show for anyone who's interested. The host wanted to draw parallells between Lana's new album (NFR!) and opera singer Peter Mattei's new recordings of Schubert's songs in the piece Winterreise. I'm not an opera person at all but I could enojy his pretty interpretations and descriptions of the songs he played in the show and found it to be overall pretty interesting. You can listen to the show here: https://sverigesradio.se/sida/avsnitt/1359653?programid=4914
