Adam Lambert covers West Coast for covers album High Drama (out now)
TrippieHippie replied to The Siren's topic in Music
It’s like they’re desperately attempting to criticize someone without merit. I see some are actually saying he’s not talented which can’t be further from the truth. According to public opinions, Lana isn’t considered the most impressive starlet herself. To call his musical arrangements boring is like the pot calling the kettle, black. -
Adam Lambert covers West Coast for covers album High Drama (out now)

I’d like to conclude that Adam Lambert was chosen by one of the greatest bands of all time to represent Freddie Mercury in Queen. This is something Lana couldn’t do. As I mentioned before, you can’t compare apples to oranges and find similarities. -

Let’s face it, Adam Lambert is an artist with a wide vocal range and Lana doesn’t have that. If you compare ranges it’s fairly obvious that Lana is unable to produce the same notes as Adam Lambert. Lana is a great singer, songwriter and composer but her style of voice cannot be compared to his. Adam sings with effortless aggression. Lana sings rather passively. She could never execute an Adam Lambert song. It would sound terrible and there would be complaints for her too. We live in a society in which we are focused on aesthetic and technology rather than technique and talent. Adam is called to sing for the greatest musicians of all time, honoring many and even acclaimed a tearful standing ovation from Cher. Although, Lana has a beautiful voice. She can’t sing live as skillfully as Adam Lambert can. He’s an actor first as he’s had history with broadway and other theatrical productions. This is a lane in which Lana would tremendously fail in. When I listened to Adam’s version of West Coast I felt like he over sang the song. Adam should have respected the tempo of the song but other than that I did enjoy the cover. In my unbiased opinion, Lana Del Rey cannot be compared to Adam Lambert. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. Lana fans will be biased and drag him for covering her music but I think it’s nice to know he loves Lana Del Rey. -
Thank you for not dragging me.

Its the way I'm being dragged for loving Rob for me.

By the way, I am aware of how old Rob is and I'm okay with that. If he's 69, I am 69 too. To further my point, I can provide concrete evidence that Rob is astrologically compatible with me. For example, he's a Gemini and I'm a Sagittarius. According to astrology, we're considered opposite signs and last time I checked opposites attract. I believe my Jupiter is in Gemini and I think that is enough information to prove our affinity.

I'm fully aware that I sound delusional and I actually don't care. If you're all wondering, I am having my own Winona Ryder meets Mermaid moment in my bedroom and yes, I'm giving a bit of Dolores Haze (revised in 2014) combined with eight ounces of Daddy Issues. I know I'm rambling but it's the first time I admitted to the public that I loved Rob since the beginning of time. This is not okay, I loved him more than those bitches before him and clearly I loved him more than his ex-wife and Kesha's mother. Dammit, Rob! If you're somehow reading this, I love you. You don't know me yet but I am your soulmate! I love to sail boats, go hiking and listen to Bruce Springsteen. I know you're into that too because I've followed your Instagram page for multiple years at a time. If you'd give me just half the chance you gave your ex-wife, I promise you won't regret it. I am certain I could make the rest of your life feel like a dream.

That's cool

It's the judgment for me.

Don't let the Lana stans' on Instagram see this. They would drag us.
-
Honestly, I'd accept a date with Rob without any qualms. He's a beautiful man. I know I'll be judged but I don't care. I've liked him for eleven years now. I've never ever been happier.
-
Personally, I’d wear that mask too.
-
Is it weird that I’m physically attracted to Rob Grant? Asking for a friend.
-
Lana is a ISFP. She uses Se & Fi heavily.

Done.

I relate to Lana through her lyrical display, her love for older men & her mysterious, introverted and eccentric ways. I actually relate to Lana more than the people around me. We even have the same favorite color. Why aren't Lana and I friends? :/

Well now, I usually would want to hear ''Brooklyn Baby'' first THEN ''Shades of Cool'' afterwards I may listen for the bottom to the top. I never really have a specific way of listening. I just listen to whatever I feel that is appropriate at the time. Brookyln Baby is the song I am always in the mood for, it is literally the perfect dash of compassion and narcissism. (I don't think she is a narcissist) Its perfect. Shades of Cool is the first song I fell in love with off of the debut Ultraviolence album. It is the first song I heard from the album also. THEN the more singles she released the more I started to listen AND eventually I got through the whole akbum & by no surprise it was good. I enjoyed!

Hey guys, I'm back. I know it has been a while since I've posted on the boards; but I guess today I had finally had some free. We all know that Ultraviolence had came out on June 17th, So YES I know I am late. Today, I FINALLY got to hear the WHOLE album. I had heard only half of the album AND so far, so good. Well when I finally made my way down to tracklist I was very much so pleased. (My listening source was Spotify.) I REALLY enjoy ''Money Power Glory'' and ''Fucked my way up to the top'' I think this album shows another side of Lana. Instead of her ''Little Girl'' persona. It shows the ''softer'' of herself. (Which in her other albums she hadn't really shown) she has when she was with a person she trusted. It showed her good times & and her bad times kinda like the other albums; BUT it was something special about this album that offset every other album she has created. If I had to give this a rating, I'd give It an 8.9/10 Its has VERY AMAZING lyric choice. She really captures the emotion of the song. I love how EACH song has its own personality. It has its OWN ''WOOOOOO!!'' to it. I do believe she used poor single choices; BUT at times she does use poor single choices. I think this time she did a BIT better. In my opinion this how I would have liked it to be; But either way is satisfying. At least she didn't just release singles. ''Fucked my way up to the top Shades of Cool Guns and roses Ultraviolence Brooklyn Baby and Money Power Glory'' should have been released as teaser singles. Which would really get people to latch. Those are my favorite songs. I'm not saying im completely right either. I would like to hear some of your opinions about it also.

Lol Why? I also experiment with different colored font. LOL I never got the memo about this :3

Its good! I love how she used MANY MANY vintage items in the video. Sorta giving it a ''collage'' feel. I love how suddenly she ends up on the streets of ''Miami? or ''Coney Island''? IDK; BUT It feels very Blue Jeans to me. Except the model got much older and the video is in colour. I love it still though! I just wished she would have chilled out on the effects. We are pleased with just seeing your beautiful face Lana :3 I just wish she'd ditch that old guy & bring back the model. Do you think she did it that way to say basically she is ending the Born to die trilogy?
