Since Electra Heart is very 2012, I wonder how it would sound if it was created in 2020. PC Music maybe? Lol.

I really want to like their music, but nothing post-Bop City 3 has been that pleasing for me.

This album is really something else. There's classic Kali as well as the exploration of new sounds, done so well. Album of the year every time she releases.

Imagine if Electra Heart was a side project and we were getting ample Marina music. I definitely think that something that stopped her creative processes back in the day are simply just label pushbacks lol

Would be cool if she announced the album on Wednesday too!

Saviour is great, but I get why she didn't include it on Froot. Sonically it wouldn't add any new dimension to the album, but I would have loved it as a bonus track or standalone release as it's a cute song

The Too Afraid demo would maybe make it surpass End of the Earth to become the best song on the album...

Very much "pick a struggle" rather than writing about society as a whole like Savages/TBH... The songs where she's like "something something the human race" sound like she's trying too hard to be deep

L+F was a buzz album... I think that she needed to release this album, even if she was unsure about it/didn't produce the best quality, I don't see Marina as the type to completely start from scratch, so I'm glad she got it out of her system and she can tap back into her legendary pen for M5

I love when she writes social/political commentary, but I definitely think that she can be more clever with it at times (Sex Yeah, Oh No) and other times it's very much a mess lyrically (Savages, To Be Human). Usually I find her super feminist songs the best when it comes to political type of commentary, as she's writing from experience....nobody can resonate with MARINA saying "there were riots in America..." lol. I have hopes for Man's World though. Cautiously hopeful. I love how she approached Purge the Poison thus far too.

I agree with this. Unless Biden wins in a landslide on election night (without mail-in votes having been counted), I am 1000% certain that Trump is going to use his hand-picked Supreme Court to steal the election.
