do you think an "unreleased" album would be a good idea
TrashMagiq replied to Raise Me Up's topic in Lana Thoughts
One big unreleased album with no cohesion that just has Queen of Disaster going into Fine China or w/e would be terrible but it would be cute if she did different volumes like one for the BTD era ones, one for the UV era ones, one for the newer scraps etc etc. -
why would it be a marketing stunt how does that make sense in any way

Powder’s one of her best songs tbh. Def my fav off of the album next to Milk of the Siren. I can understand why the vocal effects might not be everyone’s thing but they make the song more special tbh. I love it a lot.

Although I do love the songwriting on Ocean Blvd, I agree. She still has it in her though, Candy Necklace proved that to me. -

Lana herself said she didn't even really want people to listen to Blue Banisters and it was more so just an album made to get information out there for those that are interested, and I'm gonna treat it as such! At the end of the day this album gave her a way to put Dealer out there after she couldn't make it work for COCC so I'm not mad at its existence. -

I know some people are probably fuming because there are negative opinions being posted about a Lana album (this is a music discussion forum get over it!) but if I were to rank every single song off of her albums, most of BB would be at the absolute bottom. I genuinely love every single Lana album except for Blue Banisters. It's the only Lana album that has songs I never want to listen to. Even songs from previous albums that I'm not too crazy about like Coachella or White Mustang have qualities about them that I love, and I'll still listen to them when they come on. But I find no joy in listening to songs like Violet for Roses or Beautiful. The opposite even. -

I'll never get the narrative so many push that BB is (one of) her strongest lyrically. To me BB is her worst album lyrically (and worst album in general). BTD, UV and Honeymoon, etc are lyrically Far superior than this album, and it's not even close. I know people have their own taste and opinions but I genuinely think that people that find songs like Blue Banisters or Text Book or whatever better lyrically than songs like Off To The Races, Terrence Loves You or Heroin have bad taste. I don't mean that in an insulting way, I just genuinely think those opinions show a bad taste level -

I mean sure she doesn't have the vocal range of Whitney Houston but she has a beautiful voice and still has the ability to sound good. She sounds absolutely terrible during some parts of Arcadia. She could've easily redone some takes and cleaned it up but probs kept the terrible vocal takes to make the song more honest or whatever. The reason why she sounds bad on Arcadia is not because her vocal ability is greatly reduced. That's a ridiculous statement. -
she won the Idgaf about my career war

Wild One is one of her worst unreleased songs

Surprised to see all the Powder hate omg I really love this song. But I shouldn't be surprised by the taste difference since most of y'all on here are full on Melanie stans and I don't even like most of K-12 and After School bshdf. Anyways, I really love these deluxe tracks. Having Milk of the Siren as the closing track feels very correct. I still don't like the track run from Moon Cycle to Evil (with the exception of the song at the end of Nymphology, that was cute) but this album's really growing on me. It really needed a good deluxe so it had more defining tracks and I'm glad it delivered.

And when I say Powder is one of the best songs off the album...
