Production on Cheryl's version is sick while Lana's is awful in comparison. If only we had a version of Lana singing over the completed instrumental used by Cheryl...it'd blow Cheryl away tbh Apart from being so demo-ish, Lana's version is heavenly. Her pop music and lyrics are so damn sexy

That photo in OP is stunning! I love it when she looks fierce

Oh I still went through that rebellious pre-teen phase and would air-guitar along to Sk8er Boi in my room...

The spice girls movie Also I grew up listening to my parents' vinyl collection more than the radio so was raised on the Beatles, GNR, Kate Bush, Kristin Hersh, David Bowie, etc. and a heck load of Aussie bands: INXS, Skyhooks, Sunnyboys, the Saints, et al.

Should "Paradise" had been on the Paradise EP?
Immy's bitch replied to DOPE's topic in Lana Thoughts
Paradise is a great song but wouldn't fit at all... -

Well the demo has the "Man I Love" lyrics added, which you might be thinking of, but the final (?) version we have afaik is just a standalone song, can't think of any lyrics being used in other songs... -
Gotta go with Yayo. The instrumentation is just beautiful, especially the beautiful ending, her vocals are perfect, such emotive lyrics...HELLO HEAVEN.

What Is Your Favourite Lana Del Rey Song From BTD?
Immy's bitch replied to TIARNZUS's topic in Lana Thoughts
I voted OTTR for the same reasons. I absolutely am in love with the first 4 tracks, all perfect and transcend all my pre-Lana pop/singersongwriter favourite music, but OTTR is just fierce -
I think Cola makes a great second single but after that I'm happy for no others to follow. Still deserately want that mini-movie and any other videos she wants to make though. I'd die if she did another homemade one and made new footage of herself circa 2013 in it :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

I'm kind of in agreement. Born To Die was what got me into Lana and that sadcore will always be my favourite kind of Lana music, much more than her poppier unreleased ones. But that said I still love each and every Lana song I've ever heard really.

Yayo: Original vs. Paradise Version
Immy's bitch replied to TheParadiseEdition's topic in Lana Thoughts
Completely agree! I think the vocals in one take thing was a nice idea for Yayo but could really have done with some editing or redoing certain parts. -

^ one of the demos being an acoustic one which is probably your mistagged live one -
After about 5 listens I'm really disappointed with (III) :'( absolutely love Plague and Wrath of God but it becomes so monotonous and subdued
-
Go Go Dancer is like the peak of her fun and slutty side!! (I adore Brite Lites but it to me is a lot more serious and lacks that fun and wild feel Go Go Dancer has.)
-
I saw her live in July and despite perhaps being nervous, her performance was amazing. I do prefer vintage though, love the big hairrrrrr :badbitch:

Lolita! One of the funnest and catchiest tracks on BTD but it virtually gets no love or even aknowledgement...

Lana vs. Lizzy : battle - use of Alter Ego
Immy's bitch replied to ♥Love♥Lana♥Like♥Life's topic in Lana Thoughts
Is this supposed to be some hunger games-esque power struggle where the two personalities fight for control of the body? -

Tbh I am 999% sure that correspondence from Lizzy to May is fake. It all sounds way too convenient with the "other woman" thing and all the references to K and Ray (after the so-called "Rayse" early mix surfacing recently). Plus the writing style sounds a bit immature and not as eloquent as I'd expect from Lizzy. And I hope to god she knows the different between to and too.
