I think I'd probably have a breakdown. I would be seeing therapists it would be that serious. I guess it would probably be Trash Magic though - it's so relaxing and probably impossible to ever get sick of.

Telling people to 'get the fuck over it'... I don't think I can even put into words how awful that is. It didn't insult me personally - and it probably didn't insult most people but just think about it a minute, even if it's just a personal thing to Lana, it's a personal thing to other people and the scenes she was wearing it in doesn't portray the headdress at all well. I love the video but I kind of thought the headdress was a bad idea of Lana's for her own reputation's sake. I don't know whether it's a good idea of me to get involved now though... I think I might tear all my hair out by the end of it all.

The teachers are never bothered to teach on the last couple of weeks of school before the summer holidays so our english teacher let us play whatever random youtube clips we wanted to and it was projected onto the big bored. The dirty looks and talk I got when I played the Mermaid Motel video And two weeks ago I was in town with my friends and we rushed around frantically finding every bus stop or bilboard in town with Lana's H&M advert on and we went into H&M and asked if we could have one of the posters but they said no and I was really tempted to just tear down the massive picture of her and run. but I can't run. So I didn't.

Okay I can see how people can find the video offensive. I mean, she's not just wearing a headdress but she's wearing it whilst surrounded by disruptive fire and motorcycles. But, she has explained it's a personal reason and clearly understands that the situation needed clearing up and the person who made the flyer knew this so, imo, this is way too far and calling her racist stereotype is awful.

I love both songs - of course they're not flawless but they both show a different side to Lana. I don't think there's really enough of the male voice in MMIH to have a theory on it but there's always a possibility.
