I am one of those who are here for more hip hop/pop influenced beats and my reasoning behind it is that that's the kind of music I like? Do I need another reason? I have an appreciation for Lana's typical style of music (see: Ride, or like you mentioned, AFFA, JFK, etc) but I also like when an artist has a variety of down-, mid-, and up-tempo songs. Seeing as this last album gave us mostly down- to mid-tempo songs aside from the bop that is Florida Kilos, I would like to see Lana spice it back up, especially if she is planning to go in a happier direction with Honeymoon. Don't get me wrong, it took me awhile to warm up to it, but I like Ultraviolence and the direction she took. It suits her! But I think Lana is a very versatile artist and does really well with faster, hip-hop influenced songs like OTTR and it would be a shame if she never sang another songs in that style.

Its what made me become a fan of hers in the first place. The record is so dynamic, dope, and exciting in its nature. So rollercoaster was the perfect word.

If we get some uptempo's like Off To The Races Ill be so happy, that song is pure gold. Or even just one upbeat song like OTTR's, its a standout track.

Sunlight, new type of flower, outdoor scenery (the beach, maybe), and Lana in her usual cover pose but smiling this time. Imagine how perfect.

It's quite obvious that UV was a personal project for her. I definitely think she used it as a way to vent and probably cope with her failing relationship. It's obvious her label didn't like it, too. I honestly think she's abandoning UV so fast because she wants to move on with that part of her life. I think she's just ready to abandon it and write songs about how happy she is now with her lil Italian boyfriend!

This account followed me on Twitter this morning. They tweet things like Lana used to tweet on her MissDaytona account. They're pretty hilarious

I think Lana will always be releasing music whether she has a record label helping her or not. She might go indie and never make another music video or go on TV ever again. And certain fans will be fine with that and some others won't.

I don't put too much stock in what she says, I've learned that very quick. Sometimes I wonder if the girl is a bit depressed, but then I step back and say - "I don't even know this woman, what am I talking about?" Reading quotes from publications doesn't lend itself to really knowing the psychology of someone's brain. Lana is an enigma and I'm fine with that.

    Very true.

I just listened to Velvet Crowbar for the first time in a long while and I realized I mishears TONS of lyrics in this song. Here we go:
"My baby's on his eight leg darling" How the hell does someone have eight legs? I don't know. Unless they are an octopus.
"Always on the run" Not a hard mix-up.
"Burned yourself out, nothin' less" Again, not a very hard mix-up.
"I pray you'll stop breathing" I kind of lost respect for Lana when I thought it was this. That was a long time ago, haha.

I hear "come alive, alive". And sometimes I hear "Harvey's in the sky" and sometimes I hear "Holly's in the sky" and sometimes I hear "Ah, he's in the sky".

Also in TIWMUG, it says "high heels in her hand". I always thought it said "flyers in her hand" and had this image of a drunk girl passing out flyers for something on the side of the road while Lana just leans against a chain link fence and smokes a cigarette..
It's a beautiful image, I tell you. It really is.

I never ever heard "audio tune lies" in Carmen. I still don't. I always hear something like "party overnight" or "party girl tonight" or "part of her two eyes" or SOMETHING. I don't know. I just hear babbling.

Instead of "telephone wires" in Summertime Sadness, I always think she's says "telephone lines" (which would still make complete sense).

In National Anthem she says, "Keep me safe in his bell tower hotel"
And I always thought she said "Keep me safe in his will, time will hold tell"

I honestly thought it said that, too.
Also "Diamond Blue, baby, New York City" seems to be quite a popular lyric of hers.

    Misheard Lana Lyrics

Here is where we can post lyrics that we've misheard in Lana's songs.

Be sure to post the real lyric, too.

    I'll start:

In Diet Mountain Dew it says:

"There in his white Pontiac Heaven"

    I thought it said:

"Ridin' his white pony named Kevin"

    I know, embarrassing

Can't wait to read some of yours!
