  1. Wasn’t there an article or interview with some New York acquaintances of her and he said something like yeah she used to make a lot of stuff up, we just went along with it?

Yeah, I remember that. I bet she was just lying and making stuff up in some interviews, 'cause like, she wasn't famous or anythhing, she could kinda say whatever she wanted, you know. And I know that many people like to play with alter egos when encountering strangers that they most likely will never see again so maybe that was it, lol

  2. Sorry for asking but does anyone have a google drive or any other link to all her unreleased songs? thanks

    All I found was this:

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B54PmNXqlJofN09FZGVOcnl0Yms

Some songs on there are still released, like Rewear it or Do ya, and then there's other versions of known songs, but there's some unreleased also

Also, maybe you already know about this, but there's a youtube channel called Fly Pirates that has some exclusive  m.i.a. content like demos or some unreleased songs

  3. I just don’t know how Red Hot Chili Peppers guitars could work with country songs on the same album. :(

Tbh, whenever she mentions a musical influence for her albums or songs, that element that she talks about is always barely there, the influence is really faded, so I think The RHCP thing is more of a  ''I was listening to a lot of RHCP at the time so maybe some songs have similarities in sounds but not quite'' , you know what I mean?

And also, these are not really pure country songs, they're more pop-flavoured, everybody (not you Clampi) should stop acting like these are your average ''James at his farm with his truck and his cows'' kind of music, 'cause it's really not. I must be stupid for being so happy or whatever, (lol) doesn't even sound that much like a country song, I can see it easily fitting NFR, and the fast pace of Hey blue baby is not too overpowering and could work too.

We survived Lust For Life's lack of cohesiveness, I'm sure 2 country influenced songs won't ruin an already heavily acoustic sounding album.

    Yes, thank you

  4. So I was just watching last night's performance back and after Hey Blue Baby the crowd went wild, and she said her and Jack made them for fun, however fans were screaming saying to release it and she replied saying "do you think it'll work?" - maybe these could appear on the album.

Honestly, I hope so. 'cause otherwise, I don't see how she'd release them, 'cause she tipically doesn't do standalone singles, so an album might be the only way we can get them and I fucking want them both, they're awesome songs. I don't think they will make NFR less cohesive because....they're pretty much in the same vein as MAC and VB, except Hey blue baby is more fast paced. So yeah, I don't think NFR will suffer too much if the songs make the tracklist, so if that's the only way they're gonna be released, put them in, now Lana!!

  5. Venice Bitch

4 best song 2018 by noisey :hooker:

    https://noisey.vice.com/en_us/article/qvqwym/noisey-100-best-songs-of-2018

Running at almost ten minutes, it functions as its own self-contained story—something beautiful unravelling into mess—but above all else, it also feels like a sigh of relief. Like an escape :hdu:

The fucking acclaim, it keeps coming. Venice bitch is simply a masterpiece and whoever criticises it is tasteless....sorry, I'm stating just facts

  6. I really wish Lana dropped more stand alone or double singles...

Imagine if we had've gotten Best American Record and Yosemite last summer. And then Hey Blue Baby and I Must Be So Stupid For Being So Happy this winter.

I feel like she has a lot or freedom with her record label so I'd like to see do more EP's or random drops.

Honestly, same. That way, we might get tracks that normally would end up on the cutting room floor and not make the albums they're supposed to be for

  7. I'm okay if these songs will not be on NFR but bitch she HAS to release them as standalone singles at least, they're so fucking goood!!

Everyone, let's spam her twitter with replies of how hard we want these songs released, lol

I'm fucking quoting myself...guys, for real, we HAVE to let Lana know how incredible Hey baby blue is, so she doesn't scrap it. It's probably one of the catchiest songs she's wrote in a while, it could even be quite a hit if she pushes it a little.

  8. Hoooollyy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit these 2 songs are incredibly good!!! Fuck! Especially Hey blue baby. I need studio versions. It's too bad that they might not be on NFR since she did them just for fun with Jack but at least give them to us in studio version. That's all I'm asking. They're just so good, and her vocals were killer too. :wowcry:

Even if we don't get them whatsoever, I'm really happy we got these videos.

  9. i dont hate lfl. i do find it to be a weak point in her discography, but even then i find born to die (in terms of sound + lyrics) to be even weaker and much less mature. what breaks my heart about the lfl era is how lana couldnt come up with one specific theme for the album... and concept albums are like, her thing. but the theme for lfl was all over the place and i believe thats what made her add last-minute reckless collabs and production changes to songs, making lfl sound the way it did

i constantly sit and wonder what the original lfl was supposed to be. was it supposed to be 60s/70s woodstock and nature themed with daisies and flower crowns? was it supposed to be futuristic with space & technology themes like in the love music video? was it supposed to be witchy and reference wicca, hence the "spell" pictures, lfl album trailer where shes a witch, and a collab with stevie nicks? was it supposed to be a melodramatic & attitude-filled transition to more modern hip-hop and traps beats to reflect current pop culture? was it supposed to be patriotic, hence god bless america, and old-fashioned with acoustics guitars and mustangs? like... what was lust for life intended to be ??

either we will never know, or lana held onto the concepts and saved them for a future record that could potentially be norman fucking rockwell

(basically what im saying is she had 5 or 6 wonderful album concepts and then tried to smash them all together and ended up making lfl more of a disappointing mess than it should have been)

    Amazing post. My thoughts exactly

  10. I think Lana released MAC and Venice Bitch to deter everyone away from the drama regarding the Israel situation, like why release those two songs SIX months before the album is released? Wouldn't it have made more sense to release them in January? Kinda sketchy...

Honestly I bet she was just like: oh I have this lyric in Venice bitch like: the summer fades away and nothing gold can stay, so I though I'd release it with MAC, another chill song just as 2 songs for the end of summer for my fans to like, listen in the car and stuff haha x

'cause, like...she's random like that, I think we all know lol

  11.

but she has already posted previews of the whole album :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, but the Sylvia snippet was the most recent one and the caption was: SYLVIA PLATH FROM NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL lmao. So I think it's definetly an assumption because WHO even posts that kinda thing on Instagram and then not release the song. Lana WTF?

Ugh, I sould've been used to this by now huh...Anyway, hope something is really coming at Jack's event
