  2. We've actually got a lot of new stuff over the last year. While we wait for the mixtape, let's share our recent Charli playlists!  :slayty:

I admit I was underwhelmed by most of the Vroom Vroom tracks before I put this together. Before I experienced them as :) annoying. Now they're like exciting punctuation marks :D

  3. Overall, a great article. I sort of went through this five years ago, though. Living in a Republican-dominated county under an Obama administration, there was so much backlash against anything with the faintest hint of liberalism. Lana's music was a great comfort to me then. Sometimes the surest step toward clarity is simply looking around and saying, "This makes no sense." I actually suspect that under a Trump administration, conservative pockets will tend to relax a little now. I'm just trying not to grow complacent in response.

As for "National Anthem," I think of the first verse as the young, inexperienced party-girl-wannabe, and things don't get overtly sexual until the second verse. Of course the situation is ripe for "road head," so the article writer's interpretation is certainly plausible. But I don't think it's "about" that. It's okay, though, I think, to take liberties with artistic interpretation. (In fact, I wish many fake news peddlers/commentators would stick to more artistic pursuits, where reasoning that begins and ends with inductive analysis is more appropriate... don't even get me started... )

  4. What's "Poppy Loves Her Youtube Channel"?

My "album" of some of Poppy's sayings. (I don't really have all 94 clips.)

I wouldn't actually try sleeping to Titanic's music, guys :godlaugh: I've listened to my playlist in the car, and it is somewhat relaxing. (Mostly I giggle though because I know what's coming up next.)

  5. I've been devouring Richelle Mead books this summer. So what do I have to show for it? Shiny new playlists, of course! I love getting to relive my favorite stories through the "soundtracks" I make for them.

The "Vampire Academy" series has so many great characters, and evolves over six books from high school dramedy to explore deeper themes of friendship and redemption. Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir are two very different people, but they bring out the best in each other as they try to impact their world for the good.

  6. I still think Lana is ISFP.  (Crediting Maru/PUPPY for the initial insight, of course.) Her Feeling seems decidedly introverted -- she wants to be part of a group of artists, but it seems she is willing to go it alone until she finds like-minded individuals, rather than conforming to one that exists or forming one around herself. I agree that her Intuition is introverted, and it is strong, but her extraverted Sensing seems even stronger -- she seems very much in the present (her songwriting is often in-the-moment) and feeling a need to seek out experiences. I strongly suspect her function stack is Fi-Se-Ni-Te (with a strongly developed third function), thus ISFP.

I'm sure enough about the Fi and Ni combination to venture a guess that INTJ (Ni-Te-Fi-Se) is more likely than INFP (Fi-Ne-Si-Te) for Lana. I would be surprised if extraverted Sensing were her "inferior" function... but perhaps that would indicate her willingness to embrace her "dark side" rather than run from it. She does display a lot more warmth than a stereotypical Thinker, but perhaps her middle functions Te and Fi are in balance. A strong extraverted Thinking function would certainly explain her success -- working hard for years until she made it, and remaining satisfied with nothing less than maintaining control of her vision.

(Beyond Myers-Briggs to consider the work of Elaine Aron) I also think Lana is a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) who tends to be vulnerable to understimulation, rather than overstimulation like the majority of HSPs.
