The thing is, everyone calls Savages and Immortal cliche and pretentious or whatever, but I don't think they are. I really do think she's a good enough lyricist to pull them off. I think the people who think they sound pretentious or cheesy perhaps think so because they don't expect such "deep" material from a pop artist who wrote a song called "how to be a heatbreaker".

They're fantastic! I haven't seen anyone say they dislike them but those people are wrong.

Not a single TR song? :< Charli has COMPLETELY rebranded herself.. She's kind of not the same artist at all, but I still dig her as a person and artist so I'm along for the ride.

If she cringes at Die Tonight she must cringe at Red Balloon too... Good to know tho. For all the hyping she's been doing, at least she's honest and knows when she made a few bad sellout moves. Also I only listened to the first few seconds of Drop That Kitty. I couldn't get any farther. I'll probably watch the video on mute when it comes out to see if Charli looks hot.

What are you saying? That you agree or that I'm horribly wrong? lol.. Gold is good, but I just don't like it as much as the songs I put before it. I don't dislike a single song on the album. And I know a lot of people dislike Immortal but I think it's really beautiful soo...

As someone who is interested in starting a society six: are there legal issues with that? You can take a picture of her and sell it as a phone case? What if I did illustrations of her and used her name...

I don't know how to rate this album yet... It still hasn't fully sunk in... It seems ridiculous to call it better than the Family Jewels, which I've played to death and back and is possibly my favorite album of all time, yet I think FROOT is Marina's most impressive work yet and ugh I just love it so much.. I kind of want to say Froot is slightly better or around equal TFJ, and both are superior to EH. TFJ evolves naturally into Froot, and EH kind of seems like a side-plot along the way.

Should I dislike Ellie Goulding on the basis of Better Than That? Do you think this feud will go public? I'm sure when the album drops people will speculate.

@@Rebel I LOVE it!!! It looks so cool and really fits the vibe of a lot of the songs. (But I also love the picture of her in the original so I probably won't use it lol)

Anyway I must say, Better Than That is SOOOOO TFJ like I almost get some Hermit the Frog vibes. It's beautiful. Solitaire is really good. The lyrics are interesting... I don't think I quite get what it's about on first listen. I'm currently at Weeds on my first REAL listen of the album from beginning to end. Before I just randomly played a few tracks. Weeds is interesting... The album seems to talk about two relationships, an ex she broke up with but wants back, and the boyfriend after him who Marina feels guilty being with because she's still hung up on an ex who keeps "growing back like weeds"

Forget is okay upon first listen. Gold is super funky so far, I'm digging it.

Wow... I've never felt so personally upset about an album leak before... I was practically begging for Electra Heart to leak but with FROOT, I just feel terrible... She put so much of herself into this and was so excited about FROOT of the month.... On the bright side I guess there's only one or two more left anyway before the album release... Well, with my guilt out of the way: can someone be a darling and send this my way? :-*

I feel like I heard Pikachu a few times before that too... There's definitely a few noises that pop up throughout that aren't in the original mix.

@@SitarHero and whoever else likes the Money cover, I have to say it grew on me and I actually love it now. At first it seemed too monotone but I really love the deep raspy thing now.

The one part in the prechorus is definitely "you've got to stop" not "stand"

Red Balloon is so childish that even though I want to like it, I feel like a middle schooler listening to it... So Over You actually isn't bad. I really like the chord progression. And the verses have some respectable lyrics. Actually I love So Over You now. (also not to make this about me, but it's that time of year again...)

They played her Pepsi commercial, she looks good! And yas @ her getting a deal with a huge company like Pepsi!
