I agree. And I see @@Madrigal 's point with the stereotype of Marina fans. But I think it's more about the teen fans and the ones who like Electra Heart more than The Family Jewels... But FROOT is definitely not like Electra Heart. She wrote every song completely herself and co produced it all with one fairly unknown producer. She's not chasing trends this time around. This seems to be her most authentic album yet.

I've seen her 3 times, all in the Electra Heart era because I never got a chance to see her tour The Family Jewels. I really don't care to see any tracks from Electra Heart performed again... I would like to see random old tracks from TFJ like Hermit the Frog though! (but that will never happen...)

Do you and National Anthem tend to disagree? It's odd how people can have the same musical taste spanning across multiple favorite artists, yet all be more drawn to different songs by them.

I usually love phantogram so I was super hyped for that remix but it was kind of Like it wasn't bad but not great. I think the Femme Remix is my favorite. I love the "go Charli!" part.

We rarely disagree, but I stan so hard for Lonely Hearts Club.... I think the melody is so much fun!

AHHH I cannot with these basics shitting on Marina's FROOT... The songwriting is fantastic, I don't understand the haters. Happy almost made me cry the first time I heard it, and I don't get that kind of uncontrolled response to music usually. You guys honestly just don't get it and/or don't enjoy it and that's fine. But stop with the BS about how she's changed and her lyrical quality has declined. She wrote every song on this album ENTIRELY herself... She has never done that before and it's very rare. She also coproduced every song. This is not a heavily planned creation of her and a team of strategists and hit producers and songwriters, this is Marina creating a 100% HER masterpiece and I don't understand how you all can be so ungrateful for that... Get it through your heads: Marina did not have NEARLY as much artistic freedom with her first two albums as with FROOT. The Marina you fell in love with on Electra Heart is not the true Marina...

Her best video this era but it still feels a bit too simple and repetitive... It's really beautiful, but it didn't really feel like much was happening except her dancing in the wasteland until the very end with the cool water/jellyfish part which is very unexpected for a Marina video. Also it doesn't look like she did the choreo she posted herself rehearsing on Instagram...

Oh my god thank you! Abby Lee is such a sadisitic human being. I loved Chloe and always felt so bad for her. Also why does Abby seem to only give Nia leads in her "ethnic" routines?

I never bothered with Revel Heart but I'm listening to iconic right now because I saw someone mention it on tumblr, and I can totally see the appeal. But for some reason it's not really for me. I like some of her older stuff though. Hung Up was the last song by her I really got into. (Ok and Superstar and the LUV one)

Kind of unfortunate to be a Swedish singer named Tove and have a song with the word "high" in it right now...

Literally all I could think too. I don't understand how she could have been so sad or ever be heart broken when she's so perfectly beautiful and has a succesful music career. She's everything and I'm a bit jealous lol.

I kind of like So Over You but the chorus could be better. "I'm so over you, are you over me"? Bleh. Red Balloon makes me sad because the instrumental and melody are bomb.com.co.uk but the lyrics are so bad and childish...

She performed with Kitten when I saw them open for Charli!! She's friends with Chloe and Charli and I think she may be one of the girls in the What I Like video or something? Maybe not though...

Ugh I wish I saw her live... She came to a venue really close to me one night last year but I believe I had to work or something... I remember walking past it when her name was on the board above the venue
