I don't understand the True Romance cover hate.... I guess other than the fact that its a totally white background with white text which makes it a bit boring... I love the picture of her on the cover though.

Just a few of my personal favorites and past favorites from 2000-2009 (except TFJ which is early 2010... Not sure if that's cheating but it's close enough and it's my favorite album of all time)
 
Any Metric fans here? Probably my favorite band of all time but I really wasn't impressed with Synthetica

Yes it's lovely and I don't feel like choking myself listening to him like the What I Like collab but I didn't sign on for this distant backing vocal shit

I love Tennis Court but STILL haven't really gotten into anything else she's got. I listened to Love Club and it's good but idk I just didn't care to get into her other stuff for whatever reason?
 
Is it bad that I sort of don't want to like her because she's only 16... Ok yes it's bad, but I think of when I was 15-16 and I just wasn't the same at all. It's like, there's no way at her age the things she writes about can be the same things I feel now... But then again I like some music Charli wrote when she was 14... Maybe I just matured late...
 
It just bothers me that someone who's only 16 can make a song like Tennis Courts.... 16 seems so young to me now (I'll be 21 in a few months).

I just bought the album on itunes the other day (which is rare for me to do. I don't like buying albums on itunes. I either just buy a few songs on itunes or buy a physical copy of the album) but for some reason even though I love CHVRCHES and want to support them, I don't care if I have a physical copy. And I wanted the bonus tracks.
 
So anyway, before I bought it I had the one that leaked online, and I didn't realize until I bought it that the leaked one had a different version of Lies... The Lies on itunes sounds just slightly different and I don't really like it... It's not improved at all, just slightly different and it throws me off. It doesn't sound as heavy now with the way she sings in the chorus.

I don't hear the Sex Rules comparison. Perhaps a TINY TIIIIIIINY bit but not even remotely close enough to consider. There are many songs that share much greater similarities. 
 
Also, the single cover actually grew on me. It's cute and I love the picture of her, even if the design layout isn't the best.

Oh, I didn't notice until looking at the lyrics how many times the chorus repeats. :/ I think a bridge would be nice. Still a catchy song though! Just admittedly a bit underwhelming for how much I love Charli and all her other music.

Edit again: the song is cute! Its catchy and will definitely grow on me. It is a bit mediocre though when you compare it to Stay Away and You (ha ha ha) or most of True Romance tbh... It's also just a very different sound for her. It sounds more mainstream and pop-y with no cool goth vibe too it :/

But YESSS Charli finally told us when it's coming out! It's coming tomorrow!!!! She just tweeted it and a picture of her in Tokyo with what looks to be two Japanese girls!

Apparently she got really bad reactions at one of her Paramore shows and people were booing her and giving her the middle finger... What the ****!? She's such an amazing performer, why would they dislike her so much?

Oh... I didn't know it was being released right at midnight, I thought we had to wait until sometime during the day tomorrow when she posts the video..

not really, I just really loved True Romance and the whole style of it so I was hoping her new music wouldn't be a HUGE departure from it. I still like it. I was just surprised on first listen. 
And I guess I do expect a lot from Charli but that's only to make up for how shitty she's been to me about her live shows. I expect her to make up for it in other ways I guess... She literally cancelled a show 3 hours before she was supposed to go on and I'd already driven the 2 hours to get to the venue...and she still never gave a valid excuse. She just said sorry. So I have no idea why she cancelled and it bothers me.
 
Edit: and on second thought I don't really see how it's expecting a lot to want to like all of the music she makes.. I'm a fan of her because I like her music, so if I'm not sure about a song I think it makes sense to state my opinion, I don't HAVE to like every one of her songs.
