A quick lil Google search will help you out Personally, and I have posted this many times and so often ppl disagree with me on here (which is fine), but as an artist you should showcase your material and give interviews and such. It is part of making your art accessible to others. It is at least one way of doing it. Not allowing photographers during live shows, no live streaming of concerts, no televized or filmed live performances and hardly any interviews makes you lose appeal or even recognition. Very often it leads that some artists hijack your asthetics and part of your image and run with it. In the last few years we have seen it with Taylor Swift and Halsey and not only them. Lana probably just made enough money to never srsly bother, but it is in a stark contrast to what she has said: that she wants to be witnessed. For us as a fanbase that means less fantastic photoshoots, less appealing videos and quite franky little to talk about. For her it means a general lack of interest from the public, less success and sooner or later the end of her career as a recording artist. This ain't the 60's or 70's and Lana is not an artist with a huge fanbase, indeed the fanbase got smaller and smaller, so she doesn't have this luxury if she wants to be remembered.

I think that it is SO obvious at this point that we need to do something about these harrassment posts and threads with the porn pics. Not that I don't enjoy some good dique or that I never felt the urge to post "penis" in the Allie X thread, but there needs to be a way to prevent this. Could it be that it is always coming from the same person? Maybe a former member? I feel that this place lacks structure sometimes and we clearly need some more buzz to get new members on board. It would also be nice to have some exclusive tea from Lana is up to, but that is not very common with other fanforums, so chances for that are rather slim. I am all here for a new layout.

I find it quite interesting because it is always the same pattern. They boost her sales with her most accessible and successful record for a while and then something new gets announced. She is clearly working on something.

BTD is discounted on iTunes once again. Usually they do this 2-3 months before the new single drops. It was the same with UV and HM.

Ok, I started it, but to bring this to an end: Honeymoon sucks big time and it flopped rightfully so. I hope she gets better with her next album. I have zero patience to bore myself through an album of 14 filler songs with no standout material. FACT & don't @me. Thx. But our girl is good, so I have no doubt she will come up with something better. I mean, she has already said it herself in that quick little interview.

It's not like we don't like Honeymoon because we have watched it flop. We don't like it because it sucks. And look, with artists like Frank or Lana, they do have a similar type of demographic which are music buyers who appreciate quality material. When an artist has these low numbers, it is an indicator that the quality simply wasn't there when you look at it in retrospect.

Just to put it out there: Frank Ocean's new album is predicted to sell more in it's first week than Honeymoon overall. I think it all depends on serving quality towards your demographic. Lana can not reach some listeners, but she still has widespread appeal, it's just that many from her demographic just don't see a reason why they should support her cause they don't consider her new direction good, hence the weak sales and low streaming numbers for Honeymoon.

It's none of my business. I'm just a fan and I wanna listen to exciting music. With declining sales, albums tend to become less adventerous and album eras less exciting for fans. I ain't Lana Del Rey, I just wanna enjoy her albums and watch videos with effort, see her live, etc. And yeah, I like when she is popular. It makes me even more perfect than I already am, just sayin.
