Does it actually work though? You normally would be able to do that with audiobooks purchased through iTunes. However, this one in particular is protected. Is the file from Google Play not? EDIT: it worked. I have an mp3 of the audiobook

I've been getting the same error with everything I've tried so far. Audacity is supposed to allow you to open the file with an extension but the protection error is there too so clearly that method is outdated.
