Agree with you it was weird for that girl to archive the post. She never confirmed the June 1 date either... Maybe they asked her to take down the announcement because she did confirm that it was an announcement post (I read into that that it’s not the final cover, and Lana wants to have us on the edge of our seat wondering). Or maybe Lana and her managers were in the midst of planning / negociations with Interscope that week and they wanted to have as little « outside influences » as possible?!?

I’m thinking exactly the same : first single and preorder a couple of weeks prior to release. June 1 seemed more of a « solid date » than Sept 5 for me too. And yet again, it’s not like we haven’t been burned before by her false dates, like you said.

There are so many things we don’t know yet that could influence the rollout of RCS. 1- are physical copies planned? (Probably) if so, I hope there aren’t 457 variants to them. it’s undeniable : Lana is a vinyl artist at this point for release week and Interscope will surely want to cash in on that. Or will they want this album to be mainly streaming at first then physical copies like she did with LFL (even if the Billboard rules changed about what counts on release week)? 2- I got strong summer vibes from RCS. If so, she won’t want to push it too far. Plus Chemtrails has been pushed back and, well, look how much interest she has promoting it ? (and I get why: she clearly is in a different mindset) 3- was June 1 real? Thinking about it, she was with Ben and Ed the day before she announced it. Maybe they said early June and she jumped on the first as the release date? 4- Do they want a preorder? It’s been wildly successful with Chemtrails... If so, and if there are multiple vinyls offered, then it should be happening in April if they want it to be profitable.

Our next bet should be when we will get another hint / post about RCS. (and I am now entering the next stage of excitement for an album: anxiety and angst if said project is released on said date).

I’d usually be skeptical, but some of them kinda were right with Chemtrails?!? (by the way, if right, did they get the album the same way that they did the other time?!?? How bad is her security, really?!?) Hahahaha!! It’s really not a poetry book name, luv.

I love her to death, I love both Norman and Chemtrails but a THiRD folkish- songwriter album in a row, three months after Chemtrails, would be weird AF (and a tad boring).

We have yet to know if there’ll be 1257 vinyl variants for RCS, but I hope it’s already in the works for release day. With her new record involving vinyls, Maybe interscope would postpone RCS if it was meant for streaming platforms only on release day?

I’d be really surprised if him following her means anything RCs- related.

If June 1 is still a thing, especially without a lot of promo, she needs to have a very strong album if she really doesn’t want to tank on the streaming platforms/charts.

No matter what route she chooses to go down on RCS, I am sure it will not sound out of place. She knows what she is doing, even if some genres she explored (mostly on LFL) weren’t her best.

Lol I am one of the few that like Groupie Love. I love how trippy it sounds on the second half, when the strings hit: it’s like being in a haze, at a music festival, on a sizzling summer day. And I don’t mind ASAP on that one. A song mid-record of RCS sounding somewhat or very loosely like Groupie Love would be nice IMO

Agree with you : it’s time to spice things up, especially if RCS is a summer album. But that being said, ever since she announced that title, I’ve been wanting and expecting something way more summery than what she hinted at in her interviews (folk and country-ish... I mean, to my own surprise, I love all the songs that have that sound on Chemtrails, but a full album... I am hesitant). I guess the first single (if there are any before release) should indicate what to expect for the sound of RCS.

What we expect: a R&B, rap-ish album what we’ll get: a country, rock-ish with 3 Nikki collabs
